Must have been flawed. Nose was normal (tropical fruit and citrus), but tasted extremely thin - no fruit flavor, absence of any taste in the middle-palate followed by mouth puckering acidity. Unfortunately poured down the drain.

This bottle had an intense minerality giving it an almost electric quality. Similar kiwi and green apple palate with a dashing of white pepper. Almost succulent on a hot summer day.

Yellow-green lime color. Fruity, but more cool and fresh than ripe and sweet nose with aromas of bright appley tones, some apple blossom, a little bit of juicy pear, a hint of white pepper and a touch of wet stones. The wine is medium-bodied, bright and firm on the palate with lively flavors of ripe spicy apples and quince, some stony mineral notes, a little bit of white pepper, light green herbal notes and a hint of chalky bitterness. The high acidity lends great intensity and sense of structure to the wine. The finish is crisp and lively with quite long and balanced flavors of quince, apple peel bitterness, some fresh pear, a little bit of stony minerality and a hint of spicy herbal character.
A very well-made and classically built Federspiel Grüner Veltliner, where the emphasis is on the brightness and minerality, not on the ripeness and fruit. And that is not to say that the wine isn't fruity - there's a lot of fruit here! It just isn't the main point. All in all, a terrific entry-level white that punches above its weight. Great food wine. Recommended.

PnP. A somewhat less intense version of GV. Palate tends toward orchard fruits of pear and apple, with a refreshing streak of lime, and a touch of pepper and mineral. Good QPR at under $15.

Light yellow in color. Aromas for canned pear, banana and oil. Palate is a basket of tropical fruit; pineapple, mango and green melon. Medium/+ acidity as expected. Versatile GV with fish, shellfish, sushi or Thai.

A nice baby Gruner. Estery, crisp, and refreshing, with notes of pears, orchard fruit, white flowers, and a smidgen of white pepper. Finishes with zip.

Ripe and lively with lots of lime and kiwi fruit and a hint of savoury white pepper minerality. Varietally correct, this refreshes and delivers a lot of juicy pleasure.

Not flawed but not interesting. Lacking in perfume. Bottle off? I expected more at this price and from this producer.

Very light yellow. Intense pear, white pepper, mineral nose. Very dry austere pear and apple flavours and a very dry finish.
Quite enjoyable.
