88% Cabernet Sauvignon (balanced made up of other Bordeaux varietals). Estate grown. Aromas and flavors of ripe black cherry/berry, black currant, blueberry and dark chocolate. Hints of black licorice and blood. Big structure and just a bit tight. Extremely long finish.

Decanted for 1.5 hours. Aromas of blackberry, currant, plum, bell pepper and a touch of cocoa. Flavors of mocha, blackberry, currant and a splash of cherry. Ends with a decent finish of 15-20 seconds with blackberry and cherry notes. Served a bit on the cool side but still showing nicely. For an entry level tariff this is a nice wine.

High alcohol with high sugars. I have found when drinking wines like this to drink on day #2. This would be a good table wine, or open this when you have a get to gether and their are lot of wines being opened.

Thoroughly enjoyed this Cab. Full bodied and structured, it exhibits textbook Napa charm. Sweet and savory elements of currants, black raspberries, licorice, and a whiff of black olives add a nice level of complexity. It's tasty, well rounded, and ready to roll.

Not much aroma other than alcohol. Not very complex more straightforward juice. Even though not very tannic tannins were not smooth. Would not buy. Better wines in this price range

Tasted blind with 2016 Beringer KVR; this wine was preferred by group, balanced, nice fruit, not too much tannin, ready to drink; half the price of the Beringer, would drink again, good value.

PnP. It's got some nice red fruit and chocolate. For my taste it's just way too reliant on oak. It does have some good traits. Maybe if I'd have decanted. I really don't like how a ton of oak means it has body or structure.

Good dark color with upfront dark fruit, blueberry and vanilla flavors. Tannins not overwhelming. Pleasant, not memorable. QPR is fair. I will buy this again.

Nice bright cherries, with deep garnet color. Vanilla, plum and tobacco tones, moderate tannins. Super at this price, The "M" family knocks it out of the park. I will buy more.

Concentrated with dark fruits and silky tannins. With Doug on The Day Later Tour, Bighorn Park, Arkansas River. Did not hold up to ribeyes as well as the Branham. $26 Costco, prolly not buy again.

Nice. Popped and have now decanted for about 3 hours. Initially, it was Very Tight, Tart, One-dimensional and just Flat... not very appealing. After 90 minutes, not much change. Now, after 3 hours it’s opening up, aroma is better, tartness is gone and it’s richer, more full with black & blue fruit with some plum. Medium acidity with a medium finish. Overall, much better, enough so that I want to back and get 3-4 bottles to lay down for a while.
88 Points and a Very Good QPR. Get more, yes.

Popped and poured. This really shows off the very distinctive house style—loads of black fruits, bramble, and a clear old-world emphasis on the fruit without overt sweetness. It’s stays the same year in and year out, it’s rarely blockbuster, but just a good solidly made cab you can never go wrong with, with fine balance and a really nice blackberry nose. Best of all it is very fairly priced; in fact for me it is one of the best NAPA cabs out there in the $25-$30 price range. Firm but manageable tannins even at this young age. The ‘16 is especially tasty. Some might call it rustic, but I am a fan. I need to get me more of this! 4-12-17-8: 91/100
Tasted Blind: C = deep purple with maroon edges N = Dark fruit, blueberry, blackberry brandy P = dark fruit, black pepper, harsh, 2nd glass was still harsh but different, very dry, tobacco & wet leaves, NO fruit Day 2: N = green - vegetal, menthol eucalyptus P = T got green on palate too. Dry, tobacco, NO fruit, Dry, flat wine, nothing to offer, less harsh & more drinkable than yesterday. It's a little bit better than yesterday but not much. Both 2015 and 2016 Krugs were tasted blind and both were Harsh & dry & flat. Guess = both New World, Zins (b/c so harsh) or some blend or malbec O = 80 Nothing like the 2013 Charles Krug... Kroger = $24.39 including 20% case discount
