2016 vintage. Very dark, black fruits. Very earthy, musty, ash, tobacco. Most in our group reallly liked it, I was less keen on it. At $30 I think there are better cabs out there. I'd take a $35 Treana cab over this. But, it was a nice wine and we enjoyed it.

Decanted 1 hour before pairing with grilled steak kabobs. A dark ruby robe with a nose of cassis, dark cherry, red plum, tobacco and forest floor. Dense on the palate, more so than any other vintage of this wine we've had in the past. Surprising in a good way. Good acidity and a 30+ second finish. This was really rocking on this evening. Would happily acquire some more if available.

First glass 30 minutes after decanting: A chocolate-raspberry nose with a palate of raspberry, cassis, vanilla, and well integrated tannins. Full bodied and smooth with a lingering mocha finish. It went nicely with smoke'n'seared tri-tip and roast potatoes and fennel, and is on just the right side of excellent as far as the CT scoring system goes, in my opinion.
Day 2 Still great. Held up well. Smoother and the pepper comes out more on the back end. Quite a classy bottle considering it was an impulse buy at CVS due to it being the last of its year on the shelf.

Medium (+) Acidity Medium Tannin High Alcohol Medium (+) Bodied Long Finish
Medium (+) Intensity - Red Cherry, Black Cherry, Cassis, Blackberry, Blueberry, Vanilla, Liquorice, Caramel, Coconut, Cedar.
Very solid and textbook Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, full of ripe black fruits and sweet oak, a bit of smokiness, very smooth tannins, pleasant acidity. Might not have that "wow" factor, but still a good quality wine, one could not ask for more at this price point.

Good Character with some fruit and medium tannin. Pairs well with red meat or bar-b-que. Held up to Coravin over some time. A very good value at the Sam's Club price

Very nice wine at this price point. Somewhat fruit forward but not sweet. Silky texture with no alcohol burn. Medium finish with a little pepper spice. Enjoyed with steak and wine braised beef short ribs. Held up nicely under Coravin.

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about two hours.
Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of banana, plums and mixed berries. Flavors of plums, berries and raspberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink with air or hold.

Drank this as the house wine for NYE party. Very much over ripe plum on the front. Took a bottle to our table and let it sit 30 min and it drank much better than the Pnp being poured at the bar.. CT says this is a $25 wine. Value is just ok at that price.
Nose is harsh... but drinks ok with food.

Youngish purple color. Vanilla cranberry in the nose. In flavor quite grapey, with a touch of raisiny overripeness. In the finish a sharp, tongue-tingling, leafy herbaceousness, which leads me to believe a good portion of the cuvée was machine harvested. Also some alcoholic heat. Seems like a battlefield of competing influences. Tho the appellation lists Napa Valley, the label indicates the wine was bottled in Sonoma.

At $60, it's still a great wine. Amazing tannins, smooth rich texture. Great mouth feel. Just the right amount of fruit. Would definitely drink again

For the price, this is a very good cab to pair with a steak. One of the better sub-$30 cabs we've had. It could be a replacement to Adrianne's Cuvee.

Smooth, integrated, and structured, with tasty black fruit, but all of this wiped out by the faintest trace of cork taint.

Dark, extracted, concentrated. The oak is significant but nicely subjugated to the BlackBerry fruit.
