Loads of class and charm here. Attractive notes of black raspberries, and cedar are laced with a light dusting of toasty goodness. The palate shows elegant depth and balance, a kiss of glycerine, and briars and brambles infuse the spicy finish. Excellent now and especially so with air.

Violet in color. Nose of strawberry and wet wood. Second nose really opens up with more strawberries, baking spice, dried cranberries, and floral notes. Very tannic on entry and then disappears. Not much flavor after it sits in the glass and opens as the tannins dissipate.

I had two glasses of this at a restaurant and brought the rest back to my room. Much fuller at the end although still restrained in style. No lack of definition but could use more finish.

Bright ruby in color, this wine reveals anise, blood orange, plum, cherry and clove on the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied and adds subtle minerality. The finish is complex and frames the red fruit and acidity. 13.7% abv.
Purchased for $29US, this is a well made offering that was enjoyed with baked salmon.

Again, a bit flabby, but that might have been due to being served at higher temp. Have some left for tonight, and will see how proper temp effects. I do think I'm growing tired of this one. Need to lay off for a while.

Ryan is super stoked about this one. All gentle pump over going for super light extraction, he finds a kinda carbonic affect because they don't beat up the wine in the tank so super wild aromatics. 5 - 10% new oak on it, if that. But its got good depth on the palate. All natural yeast. But still crispy. Could use some more definition.

P: Med body; NICE frt met by some puckerish astringency which morphs into a LONG, very, VERY slightly spicy finish with a tangy/swtness to the very, VERY fine tannins. DESERVES through '19, then drinking for 3 yrs more. 13.7% ABV; My VG+/EXC-, likely the higher IF one focuses upon the QPR -- particularly for THIS appellation! 88 pts Jeb Dunnuck. [This vendor's $19.95 is $2 < the next lowest of wine-searcher's postings.'

Nose of slightly stewed fruit. Primary red fruit taste with some vanilla and umami flavor. Short finish with a tinge of heat as others have mentioned. Nice at the price point ($25) but lacking complexity.

Intense red berry aroma and flavor with a nice backbone of acidity and a touch of heat from the alcohol. Enjoyable now but should get better with some time.

P: Med body; Rndish, BRIGHT, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S?) off-set by an astringency which NEVER loses its swtness as it transitions into the LONG, SWTISHLY, very, VERY finely tannic finish with notes of spice. For now (given its style), though may improve a bit into Fall '18, then drink into, poss through, '21. 13.7% ABV; My VG+, poss more IF one takes into account the QPR for this appellation. [This vendor's $19.95 is at least $1 < anyone else currently showing on wine-searcher.]

P: LM, poss Med, body; Rndish entry with nice frt met by an astringent pucker which makes its presence felt all the way through the LONG, very, VERY slightly tannic finish with hints of swtness to come once this loosens. DESERVES through '18, then a potential steal for drinking through '21... easily. 13.7% ABV; My VG+/EXC-, arguably the higher IF one's focus is QPR. 88 pts Jeb Dunnuck. [As of late Jan '20, wine-searcher shows NUMEROUS sources from $22-$33].
Addendum: Also tasted on 4/14 & 8/31/18

Crisp, verdant. Good fruit but not too sweet. Bit of spice on the back as others have mentioned. Well balanced.
