1 hour decant then back into the bottle. Served and drunk over the next few hours. This just hummed and purred the entire way through to the very end of the bottle.
Deep purple color. Power packed with cotton candy, delicious black, blue and red fruits and currants on the palate. Very fine tannins. Mouth watering acidity that lends to a long lingering, sultry finish. No amount of restraint will help you from wanting another glass or another sip. It's that good.
Drink now and for the next 10 years.

High in tannins and a bit closed in the nose and taste. Even though, we left it to breath for hours. Clearly a bit too young. But it was a still a pleasure to drink. Rating is based on this and the potential.

From Coravin then pulled the cork a few day later. Muted nose. Finish is dry and a little tannic. Tastes young, more to come. 92-94 for me. Probably best left alone for a few years

Opaque purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off rich cola and sandalwood with dark red and blue berries laid on a bed of roses. The palate is full bodied with an almost creamy texture abundant with ripe black cherry, dark raspberry and blueberry balanced by medium plus acidity. There’s a bit of heat felt at the back of the throat but nothing out of the ordinary given the ripeness of the vintage. Finishes long (at least 30 seconds) with gripping tannins along with hints of sandalwood and vanilla. Drink now with a 30-minute decant until 2036. 96+

Really good but decant several hours before drinking. Full bodied, loads of red and black fruit and fairly tannic. Try to hold off for another two or three years.

PnP. Beautiful deep maroon color. Not much that I could pick up on the nose. Fantastic red fruit on the palate. Drinking very well right now but has plenty of life left. Had first glass by itself and the next one with spicy Italian usage and peppers. Paired up extremely well. Glad I have a few more of these!

Nose of red plum, hot asphalt, purple fruits, and earth. Palate has flavors of black fruits, Early Gray tea, more asphalt, gravel, and iron. Firm, tight finish with strong, unresolved tannins, peppered beef, and old oak. This didn't seem ready - needs several years to soften and the score will improve

Agree with others here that this wine is tight right now. Had a glass via Coravin that was dry but with a wonderful nose. Had another 3 days later and it was a revelation. This one needs more time in the bottle for sure, but the wait will be worth it.

Progressing nicely since my having this wine last year, with extended air being a definite friend to this wine. Comes off notably dry during the initial moments of consumption, but finds a nice (though somewhat limited) slow expansion of dark berry and earthy cedar flavors with the passing hour or two of decanted air. Finishes dry and decidedly acute in its focus. A food wine for sure - pair with richer or spicy fare and you’ll be happy. A lot of good stuffing here. Give it a few years minimum.

Too early. But this full bodied Cab blend has great potential. Dark fruits, good acidity, nice length and balance. After 3 hours it began to open up. Patience will be rewarded.

Italian wine night with friends. This was the star of evening. Consistent notes from my prior tasting back in March. Cherry, with leather/tobacco notes and a touch of some spice. The palette was excellent again as well and the dry pucker you get through the long finish was very enjoyable for me. While clearly a young wine that is definitely going to be better in a number of years, I find this is approachable now if you give it enough time to decant. We did about two hours for this.

This is pretty exciting - structured, very complex, excellent balance, and some stirring red/dark red fruits of such a fine purity, and presence. I came back to this a number of times for a small pour taking plenty of time with each one. Will age very well. highly recommended
I like this very reasonably priced SuperTuscan very much. After 2 hour decant still a bit closed, but already showing its power and good sides. Cheries, tobacco, cinamon and hints of coco. Quite sweet tones, compensated by pleasant acidity. Looking forward to pop the next bottle in 3-5 years.

Couldn't wait to try this after picking it up. One of my favorite Super Tuscan wines. Decided to drink a bottle while working with a client/friend for a change of pace to just drinking wine in the evening with dinner. Didn't disappoint. After some time in the glass there were very nice notes of tobacco and cherries. The flavors on the palette were similar, with cherry and I perhaps some bittersweet chocolate. A very enjoyable wine and we actually got our work done too.

Big and powerful, but wearing its weight quite elegantly and discreetly. Quite tight at the moment, there is a density here you expect to have the oak and sweetness dialled up, but pleasantly isn't the case. Linear, but suggestions of incense and cedar atlas. This has great potential, and while isn't a style I would gravitate to, is really a brilliant wine with a long life ahead of it. Easily 95+ in another 8 years.

Don’t expect this to deliver the goods on the initial pull of the cork, as it takes a few hours of decanted air to start gaining any depth and expanding its flavors. PnP is all speed, with a racy grip and puckering tension that really starts out kicking and screaming. Strong linear compaction mid-palate and high acidity on first sips.
3+ hours in the decanter at cellar temperature started to render exciting notes of crunchy blackberry, black currant, licorice, plum skin, slate, and a slight violet note. Unbelievable vivacity, with a nervy push that keeps the core partially locked-up but also fun and lively on the palate. A lot of potential here. Hold for 3-5++ years minimum, or give this a BIG decant if you “have to” open in the near term. Impressive stuffing overall. 95++ points. QPR is super solid at $65.
N: Vanilla slightly atop RIPE berries with notes of pyrazines
P: MF body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt quickly met by astringent pucker which basically continues into & through the LONG, balanced finish with a tangy/swtness to the significant, DUSTY tannins. NEEDS a TON of time: guessing through '23, then approaching its 15th? My EXC/EXC+ with impressive potential! 98 pts Suckling & 95+ WA.
