really a very pretty wine. crystalline purity of fruit, with impressive richness but also good cut, superby minerality and lovely long acidity. lipsmacking good. riper than your typical chablis, but still not quite cote d'or heft.

Tasted over 3 hrs -translucent light-med gold -sweet lemon wet stone pineapple -med/med+ acidity, med/med- weight relatively soft ripe lemon warm spice, tiny bit of backend heat -bordering on over-ripe doesn't have quite the cut this usually does, though it is still on the young side

Pretty much what Cote D'Or said in series of notes, particularly recently. Overall I found this bottle understated and not possessing the richness as such some mention. More nuance, lovely and enjoyable, lighter acidity and citrus, polished typicity. Will leave other bottles to rest a while.

Fine, mealy, complex Chablis. Showing some bottle devt. Shows its status and its slight age in the richness yet elegance. Rich, in Chablis terms, fine. Developing wonderfully. Good length. A good Fevre. Will match a wide range of foods. Drank with a prawn and pasta dish.

N - seashell, lime essence, and a hint of toast M - great minerality but surprising richness. More caramel than butterscotch. A real explosion of flavor in the mouth including some sour citrus. Toasty and then followed by a puckering long finish. I enjoyed this immensely.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent light gold-green -moderately expressive ripe slightly creamy sea breeze lemon -med/med+ acidity gives a brisk end note, med/med- weight some roundness softens the otherwise focused citrus saline with ample sap that carries through the moderately long finish -on the fleshy soft side for this wine yet retains full Chablis typicity more so than a bottle opened last year

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent pale yellow-green -citrus floral honey -med acidity really only manifests itself as a tangy note on the finish, med/med- weight opens with air to give a sappy rather one-dimensional soft white fruit faint tropical and floral profile -borderline flabby, lacks the prototypical Chablis-ness that this wine usually has, either too young, an off bottle, or Fevre made a rare miss on this vintage as this is usually knocking on the door of Grand Cru quality

2018 Visit to Domaine William Fèvre with Alain Marcuello (Chablis): But better again. “Touching Les Preuses – a declassified Grand Cru”, said Alain. Barrel fermented 50%. A Chablis-typical bouquet of lemon zest, Granny Smith apple, oyster shell and tide pool. In the mouth, fine acidity. More depth and power than the Les Lys. Grand Cru-like structure and length. Long, dry finish. “Great ageing potential”, said Alain. Euros 37.
