good....pleasant...but not particularly exciting or memorable. More than adequate structure, a bit shy on the nose, medium-bodied, short finish. All that said, a very good to astounding value at the price paid.

(Day 2) - color: medium ruby; nose: blackcurrant, black cherry, cooked fruit, cloves, tobacco; taste: medium-bodied mouthfeel, pronounced dark fruit taste, dry, lightly earthy, medium+ acidity and finish with a slightly chalky texture; overall: very good, masculine profile, good balance, drinking well as of early 2023, great value for $14.

This was a little riper and less green than my prior bottle, but still on the more medium bodied side. For sure shows more of the WA cab franc notes - leaning towards herbal with tobacco and leather with firm dark plum and currant fruit. Lean, but tasty with a nice long finish. No brainer for $14.

Brooding nose of dark blackberry, tobacco, and spice. Similar palate, with some plum and oak notes coming through. Tannins making their presence known. Medium body, medium finish.

Medium dark in colour, looks still young, not much brick on the rim. Slightly vegetal/herbal nose, with tobacco and plum fruit. Palate is medium to full bodied, medium tannins, good acidity, nice sweet black cherry and plum fruit, not overly long finish. Seems decent enough for $25, for $14 fantastic value.

This bottle was exceptional. Simply opened it and let it sit for about an hour. Lots of black fruit, great mouth feel you’d expect with a nice merlot and just the right amount of tannins. Wish I had more of these.

First bottle of a Garagiste mystery case. Better than the '12 and '11! Atypically generous fruit of dark cassis, plus sweet oak, sage, spruce and cucumber. Previous vintages aren't yet ready to drink (too tart and green) but this bottle is quite friendly.

Clearly Bordeaux varietals on the nose, thee is plenty of intrigue to start. However, the palate, especially the mid and finish, falls short. Classic Washington tannins, gritty and granular, bridging the old/new world divide. Respectable.

Long and impeccably balanced, this has shadings of tobacco and earth to complement the rich dark fruit. This is already elegant and tasty, but probably has 5+ years ahead of it.

I agree with JMAC56 on this one: enticing earthy floral nose, but notenough fruit and too acidic. Currants, leather, and some Cab Franc green. It's a decent value as a $14 Garagiste mystery wine, but it's easy to see why it was discounted. The cork had thick, gooey sediment on it that actually stained my fingers... never seen anything like that before. I don't expect it to improve.

2013 FALL LINE WINERY ARTZ VINEYARD RED RED MOUNTAIN- love the name being a skier who ignored the fall line; a blend of 42% Cabernet Franc, 41% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon; lovely wine with great mouthfeel with its silky smooth texture benefitting from the soft tannins; it had some talc infused black currant with a hint of leather; it was nicely balanced and quite elegant.

I think this is very good. I don’t get sub 90 pt scores. It is acidic, but that draws me in for another taste. Yum!

Pleasant but nothing special. Still slightly tannic, and fruit a ignited but there. Cassis, berries and a hint of earthiness dominate.

Such a simple but delicious wine. So easy to drink, with a good solid fruit finish. Not too sweet, maybe a touch darker than expected. Great value.

Expressive nose. The palate is restrained, but balanced. Beginning to show some secondary complexity. Good value at $14 as a Garagiste mystery wine.

Nose opens with dark fruits and baking spices. Vanilla there also. Similar flavors with rough tannins. Medium finish.

The merlot makes for a nice mouth feel. The cab franc brings the dark fruit. A nice wine, well balanced.

Most wonderful nose- musty and full. But wine is a bit thin and a bit acidic- but ok.
