Still bright red in color. Soft, red fruited nose. The fruit is a bit faded but still pretty (let it slow ox for 60 minutes). Red fruits and a bit of sweet tobacco. Fine tannins, sharp acidity, good balance. Finishes moderately long with dusty red fruits. Still nice but fading. Drink up.

Unfortunately getting tired. Side by side with the '94 and no contest. The '94 is still an incredibly beautiful wine that seems to have years ahead of it. The '93 has rolled over since the last visit. Drink up

Mpls Does Big Domestic Reds (Fire Lake, Mpls): Very dark red color, no bricking. I found this to be outstanding. Gave it a 30 minutes decant, improved over 30 minutes more and was going strong 3 hours later. Nose had a perfume of florals, damp earth, blueberry, cassis, graphite, subtle oak. The palate is gorgeous with a nice core of dark fruit, graphite, oak, and mineral, soft with velvety tannins, nice acid, and a very long finish, oh so elegant. My WOTN, 94+pts.

Opened on our 18th wedding anniversary at Girl & the Goat (fantastic restaurant of former Top Chef winner Steph Izard). Color was age appropriate. Minor bricking on the rims. Earthy mentholated nose. Fruit was tart blackberry and currant. Lithe and lean, with a medium-length finish. Holding up pretty well, but no real upside in further cellaring. Drink up. (Note: corkage = $25 at G&G)

I remember Arrowood being a big deal in the mid eighties and this wine shows why. This is a serious CA Cabernet. Its another great 93 which to me is a completely underated vintage.

Eyesintime brought this wine to dinner last night when he came into town. I was slightly surprised by how well this wine had held up after 14 years. Very fresh tasting. Solid reddish crimson color without any bricking that I could see. Left bank in character. Notes of berry, kirsh and raw meat. Ripe tannins. 91 points.

Dark ruby red in the glass with an elegant bouquet...This wine was double decanted and started off incredibly well with rich cherry, chocolate and tobacco...Good to great in the beginning, fell apart within 3 hours...Drink up

Decanted for an hour and put back in the bottle and poured two hours later. At restaurant so food choices were eclectic, but all agreed superior to the 87 opus. Cassis fruit prominent as expected, but some cherry present.

A very tasty, bordeaux like, earthy balanced wine that is in great shape and can easily get better
