  • Rich fruit forward aromas of wild blackberry, black cherry, and spiced plum are met with notes of black liquorice, vanilla and cassis. Hefty, ample and concentrated with juicy acidity and ripe, smooth tannins. Flavour of dark fruit, dark chocolate, tobacco, liquorice, and spices that persist all the way to a firm finish.

  • Opened with notes of blackberry, plum, graphite and allspice. Full bodied with a spicy, oaky finish. Went back to it after two hours and found a new, tamer, more balanced wine. Still plenty of fruit but the spiciness had mitigated.

  • Smoky, peppery nose. Some meat and herbs too? Palate is fruitier but with a big structure, maybe more structure than fruit with toasty oak coming through for a long, fine tannic finish.

Bought a few of these wines 10+ years ago (different finish obviously). Have aged OK but stopped buying as all a little too much of fruit/oak bombs and seems not too much has changed.

  • I've been a fan of this winery for many years. In fact I have written about several wines from them and each one got a glowing review. I just realized that this bottling is named after the founder's daughter who is but 3 days older than my youngest son, Jet. This vintage runs a little less ABV than previous, 14.2%. In the glass it is deep purple and showing youth rather than maturity. The nose is very pronounced with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and white pepper. There's oak for sure, it's just seamless and presents itself in vanilla and perhaps some chocolate notes. As I swirl the flavor profile shifts towards blue fruit- think blueberry and plum. There is a sweetness to this wine that might manifest into a jammy component on the palate- let's see.

On the initial attack I get blueberry cobbler, vanilla, grippy tannins, juicy acidity and ever so slight jamminess. It's not overly thick like some Aussie Shirtaz-bombs can be, more subtle. I get a distinct smoky note which is actually not playing well into my aspirations, it's a bit disjointed. The mid palate is quite dry and the finish is definitely where the tannins are showing up. It's quite a long affair with plenty of fruit flavors, but the grip is very present. I like it. This wine will pair well with my char-grilled strip steak and Chorizo sausages. I think it drinks nicely now and will continue to evolve and get better with time. Cellar or drink till 2028 for this 91 point wine that gets 4 stars for it's $55 entry fee.

  • Very Nice, powerfull with notes of bacon and dried herbes. It is good now, and I believe it will improve the next 1-4 years but not very much.

  • Barossa on stereoids, cacscades of fruit, dark berries galore, friendly but not without texture and form. Sound, unbridled Barossa-fruit - love it or leave it. I love it - sometimes.

  • Very dark, black. Nose has smoke, pepper, wet raw tobacco, plum, rubber. Overall the aromas are subtle. Palate begins silky soft then drying tannins roll in and provide pleasant structure. Flavors are chocolate, caramel, pepper, eucalyptus, smoke, cranberry, prune. The wine pulls this off these flavors very well. Seems in a great drinking window right now. Doesn’t need much air.

  • Lovely aromas of jammy dark berries, anise with a floral (violets?) note. Full bodied, with sweet blackberry and blueberry fruit, vanilla oak, and baking spices rounding it out. Decent finish, tannins are somewhat cedary, and there could be a touch more acidity to keep the wine from being overly fruity, but that's what makes it a lovely, jammy Barossa shiraz.

  • 6. Deep purple color. Deep nose of black fruit, smoke with light spice notes. Dry, light acidity, round tannins, deep in-your-face fruity taste of blackcurrant, black plum, vanilla. Full body but jarring tart finish. Guess Aus Clare Valley Shiraz 2016. 87 (6/6). Result Aus Barossa Two Hands Bella’s Garden Shiraz 2016.

  • Dark opaque purple color. Concentrated and fruity with a bit of a fruit cake quality, but balanced. Has a nice savory olive character. Not much meat or spice. Rally holds the palate well on the finish. No heat at all. Really well balanced for the size. A nice change of pace compared to CA and northern Rhône. Nicely done Syrah.

  • Deep violet in the glass. Spicy aromas come into focus immediately (black pepper, cumin) followed by tones of ripe black fruit (blackberry, plum, blueberry). Full-bodied, still young, but will open up nicely in the next year-year and a half. High alcohol, medium acidity, long finish.
