Inky plum and currant. Initial blast of tart fruit, finishing with both bitter and sour notes. This evens out a bit over time. There's a core that I'd like to like but, so far, the edge and finish flavors are too much of an unpleasant distraction.

14.8% abv. Dark ruby, very aromatic. Ripe plum, lots of black pepper, a hint of floral. Extreme concentration, depth and length. This is a really good young Petite - very tasty. Drink now or over the next decade and a half or more.

Dark ruby, notable legs. Meaty umami nose with black fruit. Blackberry jam, dried black fig, candied black plum. Super pleasant. Juicy. Very new world. Tongue tannins. Medium acidity. Super long finish.

it is un-balanced and it is also bland(ish). I concur with all of the notes written here on CT but disagree with conclusions. I expected a far more melancholy wine with a creamy texture enveloping the fruits. Instead the fruit is simply tasting as if it is unripened and under-developed with a texture on the mouthfeel which is harsh.
Lively acidity and likewise likely opened a bit too early. Tonight it was quite bright and unresolved.

Blackberry...spicy, rich blackberry, earth and minerality....with a solid well balanced acid that makes this wine yummy by its self yet going to be a fabulous food wine too.

Short trip to Paso Robles (Booker/Turley): Small tasting pour. Distinctively darker, denser and deeper than the Estate Petit Syrah. Will have a good balance with round but young tannins, a good freshness to cope with the quite intense flavors and aromas (mostly dark forest berries, wood, wet forest floor). While the nose is quite intriguing the wine is not yet ready to drink with all the different parts having yet to come together. Give it a very long decant or better wait a decade.

Similar to previous bottle but w/o the bitter edges. Rich fruits - plum, currant, blackberry. Leather notes, barnyard. Holds together well.

At this young age it needs a minimum of 2-4 hours of decanting.

Black fruit enveloped in tannins that start to dissapate after a decant. This has a lot of life left in it. But it's amazing now.

Too early to drink on day one, but impressive potential. Fantastic on day two. With patience, this wine is a winner. A huge wine.
