Slow oxed for eight hours. The nose was not particularly expressive showing some earthy notes and restrained cherry jam. On the palate however it was pure class. Medium bodied and extremely balanced with silky tannins and salivating acidity, it made you crave for the next sip. Delicious.

Smells of typical Barolo with dried rose, eucalyptus, nail polish remover, and some dusty earth. With air there are also aromas of leather, licorice, and some dried red fruit. Also som parmesan rind. Long finish with quite high acidity and naturally quite some tannins. Milk chocolate in the finish.
Drinks nicely now but I will recommend keeping this in the cellar for now.

Very inviting bouquet. Slight maturity w. nail polish remover, dried roses, hints of jam and eucalyptus. With comes sweet liquorice, leather and dried fruits. Tannic grip, acidic bite but very slender despige a broad palate. Gamey, herbs, dried berries, floral notes w. hints of kirsch. Needs lots of air. Long finish and very long life ahead. Keep for now.

Slowox for 9 hours. Sensory glass. Pale garnet with brick orange rim. Charming nose of wild flowers, dried roses, mint, tar, red cherry jam, raspberry, cedary wood and some underbrush and coffee bean.
Excellent focus and elegance on palate. and enegetic with airy weightlessness. I love the long lifting and flavourful finish with prune, sour cherry, wet stone, salty minerals, leather and truffle. Very satisfying.
An excellent sensational Barolo that is approachable young now already.

Decanted for 2 hours, quite light in color, stunningly good barolo, nose of cherries, elegant & refined, approachable now but will be best with few more years 93+

This was decanted at 3pm and drunk from 7pm and suffice it to say is an absolutely huge wine. Hard to really pick out the fruit - although dense red fruit it is - think succulent cherries. The tannins were very silky and polished although not overly oaky. In short everything seems to be there, but at present there is no subtlety. Scored as tasted today yet I harbour high hopes in 10 years+++.
The 2014 Sandrone Le Vigne unfurls so beautifully after 45 minutes in the decanter, full of elegant cherry, rhubarb, and roses complementing an earthy, savory base. That confluence of piquancy and lushness is so dramatic, so satisfying. With civilized tannins, this can be drunk with great pleasure even now (provided you have time to decant).
Color: medium ruby Nose: violet. Dry rose. Manure and sour cherry. Mostly red fruited and leather, tar, tobacco, flowers Palate: high acidity, high tannins, medium-full body. Just a cl a song palate at this stage, with dry flowers Finish: long
High personality barolo. I can see this drinking insane in 3-5 years, for now it's young and strapping. With Christmas goose, perfect. Decanted 8 hours, needed it and more

Bibendum Portfolio Tasting 2019: Blackberry, cherry and earthy spice. Strong tannin profile, but the fruit had energy and depth to it to give it a sense of not being a total waste to taste it early on. That said, give it more time!

After a recent Aleste 2014, this comes across as a bit better - still red fruited but floral, good balance while having good depth for a 2014 - the finisn a bit sweeter. I think this is a job well done here and think this will hold on well and longer than the average 2014. 92-93 now, may improve a point or two in my ratings with age.

Notes of dark red fruit, spices, some violets, tar, truffle, licorice. It‘s medium-full bodied, with excellent depth, super elegant, but great mid-palate density, has medium-high tannin of excellent quality, medium-high acidity and excellent overall balance for such a young wine. Love it. (95+)
Showing a little more structured but also more fruit on day 3. Very promising development in the bottle.

Still has some wood to digest but the tannins are not overbearing at this stage.

Very nice already, but will improve once the tannins soften a bit more.
