I am always a bit biased with anything from Seven Hills. I may Casey McClellan years ago. I think next to Pete Seghesio he's the nicest guy in the industry.
Delicious, ripe, dark-cherry and spice flavors, rounded edges; Still too sweet for my palate, but if you enjoy rich, ripe, deep-red fruits, this is for you. Better than the first two bottles I had - this bottle was more harmonious and integrated.

Almost a year since my first bottle. Still too lush and rich for my palate, but it is no doubt intended to be in that style. Needs 30+ min of air. Still seems like it has Petit Sirah in the mix. Many will enjoy it.

Deep crimson colored and raspberries with a touch of oak and menthol on the nose. Taste is rich but moderate acid and integrated tannins. Some dark Cherry as well. Long finish. Enjoyable

A nose of dark fruit and spices, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with blackberry, plum, dust and spices on finish. Needs a short decant due to sediment. www.winelx.com

Years ago I was fortunate enough to do a work day with Casey McClellan. I always look for Seven Hills whenever I am at restaurant or a wine shop. Casey is one of the coolest wine makers in the business.
Color. Dark saturated red.
Nose. A brooding and evolving nose. Starts with faint raspberries and cherries. As you raise the glass to grab more bouquet its dark cassis and creme de cassis. Some cigar and burnt earth. It's certainly complex and very typical of a great Cabernet.
Palate. Rich tannic structure. Mouth coating texture. Loads of cocoa and cherry. The mid palate is a little watery. Finish is decent. Hopefully this backwards wine will soften and push some elements into the palate.

First time to try this wine. A little soft, rich and lush for my palate on opening, but with really rich flavors of dark cherry, cassis, spice, oak and earth. Reminds me of Prisoner. Hard to believe It's a pure cabernet. - seems like it has Petite Syrah or something similar. Improved over first hour, bu still lacks structure.. Not my style, but many will like it.

Full bodied, robust flavors, lots of depth, and length for days. What’s not to like? Definitely new world, but lots of tobacco, cedar, oak, and spice to balance the fruit. Drink now if you want, but if you’d rather wait it definitely has another 5 years in the tank.

Concentrated fruit with fairly heavy oak. Not a lot of complexity, but enjoyable to drink, with integrated tannins and no noticeable hotness from the 14.5% alcohol.

Medium nose shows sage, blackberry, cedar, rustic tones. Palate more expressive, graphite, pencil lead, black layers, baking spice, significant structure behind it. Drinks young, but tasty.

Nicely layered with red and black fruit, tannins, oak, leather, and hints of tobacco and spice. Lengthy finish. Probably needs another year before it will really start to shine.

P&P, Again showing well from this very hot vintage. However, I wouldn’t push aging this beyond 5 years, besides drinking so well now.

A WTSO special. I airways like Seven Hills.
Color. Saturated red.
Nose. Cherries, cassis, cedar. Classic Cabernet nose. No alcohol burn.
Palate. Very elegant. Like an aged left bank Bordeaux. I think this wine matured quickly. Drink up if you're looking for huge character.

Pleasant dark fruit with spice. I find it a bit acidic for a cab with a slight harshness in the finish.
