Det er en "thin fine line" mellom steinstøv og ull, og denne faller akkurat ned på rettsiden for meg. Gul frukt. I munnen er dette helt fantastisk. Utrolig ren og rik frukt, masse punch, flott stramhet under frukten, steinete og lang finish. Nesten smertefull intensitet.

Single Blind Chablis (Chez John Morris): Very funky/poopy/old wood nose, almost like brett, that mars the lemon/pink grapefruit nose, which is strange because IIRC Louis Michel is all stainless steel. The palate is better, some buttery development, ok acidity, kind of boring. Another disappointing Louis Michel.

Chablis: BdB style. Butter cookies, No oak, but feels like there is some, has excellent complexity and concentration. Reminded me of a good, mature Ch.Heidsieck Brut Reserve.

lemon yellow; to rim; medium acid, long finish, hay, lanolin, lemon curd brioche. great balance of acid, minerality, body. brilliant, I wish I had more

Still quite pale. Honey and a touch of lactic long lees on the palete. Excellent length and nice soft but fresh acid. Not that complex and at its peak. Would drink up over next couple years otherwise the richness of the vintage will color any Chablis character

Classic Chablis, unoaked, citrus, green apple, oyster shell, hay; light but intense, elegant and well-balanced, with adequate acidity and impressive chalky minerality; perhaps slightly shorter and less precise than it should or could be. Probably the best bottle I have had of this wine so far.

intensely chalky nose; very direct, focused, chalky attack, then broadens out. Creamy elements with a pure lemon curd/chalky underpinning. Lemon; chalk, hints of lime; ripe but classy: broad attack segues to chalk, then an elegant, pure, delicately finish, with a refined lifted cut.

Seems soft and rather weak initially, but much better on the second day and then not unlike the bottle tasted last year. Acidity is slightly low, so drink well chilled; slightly lacking length.

Julian's Chablis Offline: Slightly lactic, floral nose. Quite restrained and pretty. Decent weight. Good minerality and cut though - wouldn't pick this as 05. I like this. ****

Classic and elegant Chablis without a stave of wood. Green apple, oyster shell and a sea breeze; good definition, minerally but softer and more evolved than I had anticipated; long and precise finish. Now - 2015.

Light straw... clean, varietal nose with green apples, minerals. A bit dilute, but has good chablis character and reasonable acidity. I enjoyed it but this wasn't a particularly good value and I won't be buying more.

over two nights. clear pale yellow. loaded with minerals and chalk, yellow peaches and crisp apples. lots of zing n the mouth with a perfumed apple finish. very nice stuff.

Identical to my previous note. After a rather weak period, this is now showing well at full maturity.

Minerals, pears, litchy fruits. Medium finish. A bit weaker than expected. Nice wine but not great. Had it with lobster and it was a bit pale.

Clean and crisp - good balance of minerals and acidity. Became more buttery over time. A great example of a Chablis wine.
