Dependable. wine. Tasted a little muddy, might have guessed some syrah involved, but apparently not. Scanning recent reviews, it looks like Justifications may not age very well in general.

Give it 40 minutes to open up after uncorking. Serve warmer than room temperature to bring the fruit to the fore...and you will be rewarded with juicy sweet cherries! It's full-bodied, but not super bold. Great balance of fruit, acid and tannin. The finish is long and smooth.
Subsequent notes on this wine. Deep, dark garnet in color; essentially opaque. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of violets & earthy/dusty notes, herbs, cocoa, olives, spices, espresso, some anise, minerals & a hint of vanilla/oak in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with cocoa, spices, herbs, minerals & a touch of vanilla/oak. Drinks quite well with decanting & extended airing but has the potential for further development with additional aging. A blend of 65% Cabernet Franc & 35% Merlot.

It has this tremendously juicy acidity; it begs you to take another sip and another and another. So nice with New York strip steak. Great structure, It’s not flabby at all. That’s why it will go so well with food. Delicious for sipping as well. .

2017 Berries & caramel nose. Creamy caramel palate. Opening- getting plum nose and palate along with tea. Warm finish. Picked up in the Justin tasting room. A good red that I’d drink again but not keep stocked in my cellar at the $50 or so price point. (Compared to other reds at that price)

Acidity is a bit harsh but will keep the wine young for years. Pretty fruit in the nose. Medium finish without a lot of complexity. Opens slowly and adds a little mid palate depth, but not a lot. A lot of Cab Franc for my taste, but that’s me. Drinking window for me is 2023-2027.

We also drank this bottle in the context of the virtual tasting with basketball player Josh Hart. Again, we paired it with a cheese and salami platter, and it played quite well with the variety we chose... most especially well with Brie. Flavors were red cherry & licorice, and this wine had a full finish. I think this would also pair well with a rare ribeye or a nice hunk of prime rib.

Given as a gift. Good wine. Very bright and fresh. Medium bodied. Not especially complex. Distinctive. Has made me want to look out for their other cuvees.

Very good, fruity but not jammy, decent acidity, with a floral nose and a little pepper. Medium oak, medium tannins. Not super complex but enjoyable and well balanced. Medium finish. I popped and poured and drank over the course of an hour or so. It definitely evolved and improved over the course of that hour, so I will hold the rest for a few years or give them a couple of hours in the decanter.

This 6 year old Paso Robles Cabernet Franc is drinking very nicely now. Spicy and rich. Fruit forward and dark.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.
Dry and very fruity on the palate.
Showing blackberries, black currants, plums, baked raisins, alcohol, cedar, vanilla, bitter herbs, chocolates, spices, licorice, light vegetables and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
A little hot at the back of the throat, but a nice sipping wine. Tasty, jammy and complex.
Robert Parker 92 points. Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.
Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
A blend of 65% Cabernet Franc and 35% Merlot. Unfiltered.
15% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$70.
