Popped and poured. Modern, new world style but well made. Black currant, olives, licorice, smoke come through. The palate is full bodied, lush layered with a touch of heat. Very youthful. Many years ahead. Question is whether it can gain complexity as it ages.

Medium purple in colour. Medium+ nose intensity with notes of cassis, black fruits, black currant, spices, chocolate. Medium+ acidity and tannin. Though youthful, the wine is rounded and balanced and no harsh tannin. The wine can be drank early or cellar. Medium+ body more to full body and long finish. The wine is joint partnership with Robert Mondavi, similar to the partnership with Opus + Robert Mondavi in US.

Medium deep ruby. More robust nose of blackberry, oak and herbs. Dry, rounded acidity, initially taut tannins that mellowed quickly. Medium full body. Very good balance (initial tannic rush). Long finish. Deeper lusher bottle than the Baron.

Big Price for Italian Blend of Sangiovese & merlot so at this # I expect big taste. Nose was RICH in what I would call almost musky which doesn't sound good but usually leads to some great flavors. A medium tannic wine of various complexity though did not finish well. Floral notes were unremarkable but the winner here was its great Spice. Again at this price point I need to say WOW... I didn't.

A warming bouquet of roasted cumin, clove, almond and star anise with stewed tomatoes and fresh mulberries in the middle, ending the aromatic profile with eucalyptus, sage and cocoa powder. A savoury nose that is waiting to pair with a grilled Tuscan T-bone steak. A wonderful structure and rich palate with black fruits, earthy spices and fennel. The transition from entry to finish is seamless and so extended. The oak is well intergrated into the medium bodied frame. The tannins are ripe and provide a good firm support to the components which are in good harmony behind the structure for now. Give this another 3 more years and it should bloom well into a decade. If you are drinking now, decant at least 2 hours as it gets deeper and more fragrant as it is left in the decanter. 92-94 pts.
Retasted in Dec 2022, need extensive breathing for the funky aroma to dissipate. Not as expressive as before. Maybe in the shutdown phase. Taste this 3 years later.

During an Italian blind tasting dinner. Dense rich and oxidative, tannic, torrefaction and drying finish. I have little hope that this wine will age well.

Bubbles and Holiday Wine, nose of allspice, wood, plum, and black fruit, same on the palate, big body, young-needs 4 years in the cellar, lovely, rich fruit, and a long finish.

Very dense color. Beautiful nose, licorice, roasted Plums, espresso, licorice. Rich mouthfeel, still a bit light an hour in. The fruit a bit muted. Some tart bitter chocolate. Balanced, bit short at the moment, but some shap yummy mid palate. Rough tannins. Needs some big hearty Tuscan food.

Nose - whisky barrel, oaky. Smells like a bourbon based cocktail. Mouth - spiced cherry, smooth, nondescript. Tannic. For the most part a disaster esp given the tariff. 50:50 merlot Sangiovese. Coulda been a Napa wine. Definitely hold and keep fingers crossed.

50/50 Sangiovese and Merlot. Medium-high intensity aromas are focused with cherry, clove, and oak spice. It's medium-full bodied on the structured palate with nicely oak-spiced aroma replays. Acids are very good and juicy. Some warmth. Excellent finish length. Better in 3-4 years and drink by 2028.

Sangiovese and Merlot duo.. very impressive igt. 😘
Dark ruby on the eyes with narrow rim.
I cannot tell Sangiovese from color at all. 😯
Med+ intensity on the nose with first touch of sweet strawberry cherry then follows by vanilla earthy oaky.
Dry, med acidity, med+ tannin and med- bitterness.
Med+ intensity on the palates, med alcohol, med+ body and med+ aftertaste.
Love the wine 🥰

Popped and poured, let the fund blow off, and drank over the next hour. Rich goodness. No need to drink now, but not terrible if you do.
