I haven't touched one of these since '08, so what has 8 years in the cellar done for this Napa Cab. Cork was still solid. I decanted this almost an hour before first pour. No signs of oxidation past the normal decant, tannins were round and very tame. Deep plum color, clear in the glass with no sediment, a basic black fruit nose that struggled to find it's way out of the glass. Medium body and finish. For the $13 I paid back in '07, not a bad QPR.

Black cherry and plum all over the nose. Hints of cedar with silky smooth tannins that linger. Well structured with solid mouth-feel and finish. This has certainly improved since last April. An outstanding Napa Cab at a very reasonable price point. Both the 04 and 05 are not in this league.

Awesome. Loads of dark cherry, plum, blueberry, and every other jammy fruit you can think of. Maybe some cedar and chocolate too. Big, juicy and really good.

Outdoor Grilling Wines for Memorial Day (Farpointe Cellar): An interesting nose of raspberry and funk, along with chocolate, vanilla, and a hint of plum. The palate was raspberry and oak, as well as spice and vanilla. The finish was good.

Sweet fruit that reminds me of a cherry life savers, very soft and easy wine, I was left wanting a bit of chocolate to push the wine into the 90s, but it is not there. Very smooth finish. This is a well above average cab at $20...give it a try!

Holding off on a rating until I dip into the bottle again tonight. Was a bit chilled when first opened, and never warmed up to show its character. Deep ruby coloring, but still clear enough to see the bottle of the glass. Nose was tight, but mid palate and finished were medium to full body. Tannins were silky smooth.
Day 2: Very good, but would not rate this outstanding. Very little in the nose, which surprised me. Plum dominates, but some oak and vanilla were noticeable. I will say this, it has a solid finish to it. Plenty of mouth-feel which I would expect from a hearty Napa Cab.

Rich, dark color. Both fruit and woods on the nose. Velvety smooth with a great finish. Was still tasting it several minutes later. Plum the predominant fruit taste? No tannins to speak of.
