I love Cayuse. And I have loved No Girls Syrah. But this Grenache was overly harsh mid palate and on the finish. Lovely nose of strawberry, raspberry and spice; palate begins with soft red fruit, but immediately gives way to flavors of twig, bark, soil, and rind. Very disappointed.

Open on the counter and eventually into the decanter. Red licorice, wet gravel and earth on the nose. That Rocks funk. Spring flowers and sweet herbs after better than a day open.
Cracked black pepper, herbs and mineral laden spice take the lead with darker red berries, licorice and chalky soil to the back. The fruit further emerges with a boatload of air, it really comes into its own after 24 hours open - at that point it’s well deserving of the accolades.

Bold and beautiful. If tasting blind, and without knowledge of this particular terroir and house style, one would be hard pressed to place this in the New World. A wine of the earth, all about umami, with fruit as an afterthought, and thankfully so. Olive barrel, herbs, meatiness, smokehouse, loam, kelp, matchstick, and smoldering campfire. Enjoyed this over a couple of hours and it improved with air. Likely to evolve for a decade plus and hold form through 2032-2035. Thanks Bajayngo.

Sweet fruit delicately balanced. The color of strawberry juice with hints of summer. Yowza!

Bretty animal, earthy and sour notes over the cherry and framboise flavors.

Way too much smoke and sulfur on the nose. Viscous palate. I hope this is an off bottle and not the house style. Undrinkable!

Aromatic violets and lavender. Dark dried plum, blackberry, mineral rock salinity. Herbs and smoked meat. Tasty, integrated, good acid.

This one was way off. No balance or spirit in the flavor. Tried to drink it over a few days, didn’t work.

Smooth with lots of subtle nuances of spice and ripe fruit. Drank over 2 days, better on day 2 .
