I love Cayuse. And I have loved No Girls Syrah. But this Grenache was overly harsh mid palate and on the finish. Lovely nose of strawberry, raspberry and spice; palate begins with soft red fruit, but immediately gives way to flavors of twig, bark, soil, and rind. Very disappointed.

Open on the counter and eventually into the decanter. Red licorice, wet gravel and earth on the nose. That Rocks funk. Spring flowers and sweet herbs after better than a day open.
Cracked black pepper, herbs and mineral laden spice take the lead with darker red berries, licorice and chalky soil to the back. The fruit further emerges with a boatload of air, it really comes into its own after 24 hours open - at that point it’s well deserving of the accolades.

Sweet fruit delicately balanced. The color of strawberry juice with hints of summer. Yowza!

Bretty animal, earthy and sour notes over the cherry and framboise flavors.
