at first light and bright cherry red..nice acidity and mineralogy with tart cherry taste..open a bit as we drank it and ended with a smooth after taste..excellent with a dried tomato chicken pasta dish

beautiful wine..nice dark bright red..herbacious dark fruit upon first sip..wine developed into a medium body complex wine as the evening went on;;the some what mineral and acidic fish brought a rush of tannins ,,not overbearing but firm like a nice handshake..you smacked your lips for minutes on the finish..really enjoyed

I served this in my wine course. Slight natural wine nose, with also black cherry. Light bodied earthy mouth. Long, well balanced finish with dusty tannins. Always enjoy Occhipinti's wines, and this meets expectations.

Having thoroughly enjoyed Arianna’s Cerasuola I was initially disappointed with this one. On reflection think it’s just too soon to drink this wine. Mild black cherry on the palate along w M++ tannins and M+ acid. It comes across to me as disjointed right now with a blast of tannins immediately followed by the acid. Fruit is there but takes a back seat. True to the profile of Nero d’Avola and 12% ABV. I’d say give it 2 more years in the bottle to integrate a bit.

Complemented our brisket dinner nicely and was hard to say if this or the '17 Arnot Roberts Sonoma Coast Syrah was preferred. They both brought something interesting to the meal.

this had dusty cherry components that came alive and reached their peak acidity around 1 hr into the decant. it has a blood/iron element i found enchanting if not a little typical.
the wine was clean and very enjoyable especially with moroccan lamb tagine, but just okay value around the $40 mark.

PnP, but continued to open over dinner. Would give it a 10 to 15 minute decant. Medium to plus bodied wine with plenty of dark red fruits, some earth notes, balancing acidity, and some tannins that another year or two in cellar would help to soften.

Like we did in 2015, it's Occhipinit vs TDelle Terre Nere in a Sicilian head-to-head. This Nero d'Avola is fiery and mouth watering and deep; neither dark nor light in feel, with a long--initially sweet and ultimately bitter--floral, yellow, and stonefruit perfume. Exciting and food-friendly.

Translucent ruby in the glass. Nose had baking spices, earth, coffee and hidden notes of sour cherries. Silky on the palate with the earth and spices dominating a mid-weight wine. Finish was balanced and lingered nicely.
Agree with ticker tape guy that this paired very well with dry rubbed grilled ribeye.

Very nice wine. Bright tart fruits — tart cherries and cranberries.

Decanted with duck. Very nice but the QPR on the cerasuolo is better. Mid weight, mid acid, 12%
