A classic Roulot, lots of zing, very acid driven and lean. Lots of white flowers, crushed rock, lemon/lime and green apple and a hint of peach. Smoky, herbal and as usual rather bitter. Sure it's a nice drink and a good bourgogne blanc, but the style is too similar to a Westhofen Riesling trocken for me.

Great energy in this bottle. Lemon, lemon peel, very precise fruit. Great definition. Tons of acidity. This wine has skyrocketed in price and now is no longer a bargain. But the wine delivers.

Second bottle of this and another lovely experience; opened with a touch of reduction and gunflint; this opened quickly in the ripe orchard fruits, orchard blossoms, a hint of mineral. The richness and concentration on the palate are easily village quality, and there is plenty of freshness to keep this feeling vibrant. Excellent for the level, though the price is obviously high for the level. This out performs many village Meursaults and if I could find it in the $60-80 range I would definitely buy more. I look forward to trying some of the higher level stuff.

What a stunning Bourgogne Blanc for €65 at a wine bar in Beaune.
Fresh and lively with subtle oak and just so well-rounded and inviting! Citrus fruits, some green and yellow apple, creamy texture and a sharp and precise acidity cutting through it all.

Beautiful chardonnay. Just a hint of matchstick and flint on the nose. Creamy, medium body. Medium high acid. Somewhat singular, but just wonderful with salmon. Closed with Diam 10. Will hold my second bottle for at least a few more years if not till 2027 to see how it develops.

A wine that over delivers. Doesn’t get better than this at this level. Made from 30-40 years old vines with grapes from 13 parcels spread across Meursault from north to south in clay and limestone soil. Perfect amount richness and concentration with great precision but needs time.

Look, once you get over the fact that you’re likely paying an extra ~$30 for the Roulot name, the wine in the bottle is actually quite enjoyable. Rich on the nose, with some oak coming through. Ripe fruits. Little lemon zest and acidity on the finish. Very good with salmon or chicken. Drink from now to 2024.

First bottle from Roulot; found locally which was surprising; this is a lovely Bourgogne; the nose is rich and full with ripe apple, pear, orchard blossom, a hint of mineral; very open and giving. The palate is redolent with ripe orchard fruits, but also still has pretty solid energy. While this was in no way worth the price it is an excellent wine for the level. I would certainly love to explore some of the village and other wines, but will have to see.
Day 2 - this actually seems better; still a full on nose of orchard fruits with hints of lemon and a bit of spice, there is a bit more minerality today; the palate remains rich and really decadent for this level; very good concentration; excellent and with room to age a bit.

No bought-in fruit in this vintage (unlike in 2016), so it could be bottled under the Domaine label. The proprietary 13 plots in the village of Meursault yielded enough fruit for the entire cuvée this year. In keeping with the vintage, it is a vibrant and elegant wine, cool and stony, marrying freshness to a certain generosity. There is a welcome hint of matchstick on the nose, and the apple and lemon fruit has very good substance, focus and definition for its level. The finish is still a bit firm and tight, with a touch of lime zest. It's a very straight, pure and precise wine, well balanced, with good intensity and persistence. It's not very complex though, and that precludes a higher score. Drink now - 2025. Objectively speaking, this is expensive for what it is, but it has a certain "je ne sais quoi".

If....this was $40 I would get excited. But at twice that, so many better options. Overall this is truly a gorgeous wine that competes way above its “Bourgogne” appellation. crystal clean bright lemon fruit, chablis like focus and minerality, some nice lemon fruit. I’d rather drink Vincent dauvisat chablis acc at this price.

Medium lemon colour. Medium nose with ripe green apples, ripe lemon, honeysuckle, smoke, wet stone and butter. Medium taste of ripe green apples, ripe lemon, smoke, wet stone, salty sea, butter and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Bourgogne Blanc based on grapes from Meursault. Wonderful balance. Drink now or save for at least five years. Goes well with cheese, fish, poultry or shellfish.

Tasted blind. This wine was puzzling. At first, it showed very fragrant notes of peach, apricot, apples, and minerals. Nothing suggested Chardonnay (and guesses were all over the place). But after coming back to it after a few hours in the glass, the flavors seemed to have morphed into more classic White Burgundy territory, dominated by apples, white flowers, and reduction. On the palate, it was pretty acidic with tart apricot, lemon, flint, and grapefruit. Quite long on the finish. It was always a good wine, but only the last sips tasted like White Burgundy. 91-92

Fresh and lively mineral driven palate loaded with white peach, lemon peel, lime zest, crisp green apple and a touch of flint and spice. Balanced acidity. Good weight for its level. Lovely lingering finish keeps you wanting more. Even better the second day means this one should mellow nicely with a couple of years of bottle age.

A small gathering with COVID safety measures (Reston, Va): Very youthful nose displaying fresh white fruit, lemon curd, pear, lemon, spicy spices and chalk. Very good concentration, rich yet pure and precise, good acidity, medium mineral and a medium long fresh white fruit driven finish. It is slightly spritzy. Not terribly complex but nicely balanced. I prefer the 12 Pierre Morey BB at one fifth the price.
