Last of a case of 6. Great freshness. Stone fruit and some citrus. Good texture. Long finish. Don’t serve too cold much better just cooler than room temp.

Medium lemon-gold in glass, attractive colour. Nose has scents of white spring blossom and linen. Palate - ripe pineapple with a lemon peel twist, getting some melon and peach flavours also now. Well rounded. Medium acid, almond, saline finish. Very good, especially with food.

Fantastic value wine from one of my favourite producers. With a little age, this wine punches well above its weight with plenty of fruit and almond notes. Great mouth filling rounded wine.

Light gold, floral and lemony notes on the nose, lighter-bodied, simultaneously brisk and smooth palate, with tensile minerality. More flavorful and relaxed over time, and much more delicious than one might expect for a Soave (so often nondescript).

Elegant and poised Soave. 3rd of 6. Lovely long finish. At slightly below room temp the wine opens up with gorgeous floral notes and citrus, melon and blossom. Very good indeed.

Beneath this chalky exteriour ... lies a chalky soul. Tasted over two days, AD dislikes it on day 1, asked for seconds on day 2, maybe more illustrative of the drinker than the wine, but yes, it does calm a bit, gets more fruity, round, friendly, still wih a fine acidity. Certainly too young, would probably merit a higher score in a few years. 90+

Hints of lime and minerals Straw with greeny glints On the light side of medium bodied this has wonderful salinity and high toned acidity which add real dimension and complexity to lime fruit. In some respects reminds me of licking wet pebbles just like a good Chablis. It’s so refreshing and mouth-watering, really refined and elegant, and although initially dry develops a real sweetness on an impressive lingering finish. I found this to be a really class act and a brilliantly crafted wine. I will be buying more in future though sadly not this vintage. 91 points

So crazy, bought three bottles and with just approx half a year of extra celler age this wine improves dramatically (from 88 to 92 points in one year). I will definitely buy some extra for long term cellaring.

Served at 55*. Lemons. This wine a has a sharp minerality. Another fantastic bottle from pieropan. This one built for the long haul. I think that I slightly prefer the entry level soave Classico at this stage.

Quel beau vin, nez de pommes jaunes, citrons et une de cammomille. En bouche l’acidité est vive, une belle minéralité un rien pétillant, on retrouve les notes de citrons également en bouche et une finale plus que correct qui rammene a la cammomille et le citron

Steely, tightly wound, and not fully forthcoming yet, but the stuffing is there. Reticent on the nose. Lemon, elderflower, abundant mineral, and creamy texture, balanced by acid. Long finish resonant with barely ripe apricot. 91++

Very expressive. Ripe apple, pear, lemon zest, fresh green herbs and salinity. Medium + bodied and the acid is still bright. Great pairing with crab ravioli in a saffron cream sauce.

Light to medium yellow with a tinge of green. Nose has light honeysuckle, lime zest, chalky minerals and sweet apple. The wine needs some air to bring out the nose and add texture on the palate. It is slightly grassy, with lime, some mixed white and yellow stone fruit. Nice complexity and very mineral driven with a relatively long finish. Definitely more of a food friendly wine though pleasant enough by itself as well. The minerality seems to increase with air. Really sassy and lively.

Delightful Soave. Winemakers website recommends serving this at 12/13* and I would concur. At this temperature the floral notes and lime zest are wonderful. A nice long green finish. I would strongly recommend this.

Color: light straw Nose: lime zest, pear, white peach, minerality, medicinal herb hints, slight fresh nuts. Lots of flowers: acacia, gelsomino, orange blossom even Palate: medium acidity, medium body. Lots of pear and lime. Minerals aplenty as well, this wine is savory. Some slight chestnut note and a hint of mango. There is also a greener note Finish: long, minutes
Great wine. Needs to be had like a serious white, not too cold and after breathing. It unveils a very sharp set of flavors and a savoriness that is made for seafood. Endless finish. Ageable for sure since it has structure aplenty. Special note for the beautiful bottle, a muscular forest green Alsatian clad in gold hues

Delicious as usual, this is more mineral and closed than the more fruity 2016 at this stage, but still delicious honey, pear, pepper and apricot flavours. Real energy and spice on the finish. This is very promising.

Single vineyard, volcanic soils rich in basalt and tuff. A blend of 70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano, organic viticulture, fermented and aged in glass-lined cement tanks for a year, 12.5% ABV. Pale straw yellow with green reflections; fresh and minerally nose, with aromas of elderflower and citrus and some spicy depth; the palate displays lovely tension between bright acidity and crunchy fruit (citrus, orchard), with salty notes and almond bitters and some old-vine creaminess; complete finish with tropical notes, good resonance and length. A very successful Calvarino. Drink now - 2027 (but it may last longer, see my tasting note for the 1994).

Perfectly ripe green pear, honeyed, minerally, some green peach. Slightly fuller than the 2018 straight Classico, slightly creamier, and more saline on the finish. Lovely

Best on day two. Rather subdued but showing many facets. One is a resemblance to an alvarinho wine (to use the Portuguese spelling) though with lower acidity, another is the hints of the apple character of Soave, a third its slightly meaty style (it went well with a dry aged cow milk cheese). More serious and less charming than Pieropan's straight 2018 Soave.

Straw yellow, clean. Pear, lemon, grapefruit. Moderate and elegant style. Fine structure, fresh acidity. Surprisingly long finish, with various white floral notes, very nice! Arguably the best Soave.

A really beautiful white the is packed with lush citrus fruits, acidity and minerality that represents the Garganega varietal perfectly.
Served slightly chilled at 60 degrees and as this picked up a little warmth it really blossomed. Lemon peel, hints of honey with tropical fruits.
A beautiful Italian wine at a great price point.
