Very light red in colour, with orangey rim. After 90 min of decant in cellar, the nose is still quite muted. Strawberries and cherries stand out on the palate. Tannins are fine and nicely balanced although acidity is on the high side. Makes for a very refreshing and zingy wine to drink. No where near the peak drinking window, but enjoyable.

내가 마셨던 2016 바롤로의 모든 기본급 와인중 가장 으뜸이라고 생각한다. 네비올로의 장점을 모두 보여주고 있다.
오픈후 처음 붉은과실과 오크향으로 시작해 타닌이 많이 올라오고 산도는 약간 높은정도다. 1~2시간쯤 지난뒤는 붉은과일과 장미 향수를 뿌린것만 같은 매혹적인 향이 유지된다. 3~4시간쯤에도 전과 같이유지되고 있고 흙 낙엽 같은 향이 약간 첨가되고 꺾일여력은 없어보인다. 오히려 타닌감은 적게 느껴져 마시기 좋게 느껴진다.
이 와인의 장점이 이태리 와인을 마시면서 느껴지는 안 좋은 뉘양스 V.A 파마약향 같은게 안 느껴지고 14.5%인데 알콜느낌이 전혀 안나고 향과 맛의 일치가 계속 유지된 점이 고평가 할 수 있는 부분이다.
온도 컨트롤하여 (16~18도) 천천히 마시면 5~6시간 까지도 훌륭한 모습으로 마실수 있다고 생각한다.
지금도 마시기 좋지만 최소 5년은 두고 즇은결과를 보고싶다.

Overall good quality affordable 7 year old Barolo off Restaurant in CT. The acidity is still too pronounced but has the makings and overall package for a nice wine 5-7 years from now. Hold

94 points - no detailed notes but was outstanding young barolo. Opened and let it sit for an hour then drank. Maybe would garner another point with a few more years of age but tbh there's no need to wait it's ready to go.

Consumed after letting it open for three hours. Initially shy on both nose and palate and deceptively easy drinking it gradually blossomed into a juicy and balanced barolo. It's obviously still young with a great future ahead of it but quite approachable too.

Initial tannins softened after 2 hour decant and resulted in an excellent bottle of wine to accompany an Easter meal. Lovely pairing with a rack of lamb, as a muscular and bold wine that is not too overpowering. Will likely continue to improve over the next several years, although it is drinking well now.

I know it is fun to hate on this producer, but I really enjoyed this wine. Definitely young, but still pleasurable. layered red flavors with a long finish. tannins manageable
Black cherries, red plums, fresh green herbs, smoke, vanilla, cedar wood. The oak flavors kind of "cloak" the primary flavors in a cool way here. Full body, medium + acid and only medium tannin which was a surprise given the age. Guess the oak mellowed them out. Classic "modern style" Barolo. Good pairing with a steak.

Proper wine. Very young but approachable for now. Classic smoke infused maraschino cherries with a dash of rose petals. Long, good concentration and elegant. Tannins very fine, wine behind the tannin is already silky. 4+

Wound really tight, even on the third day it wasn’t showing a lot. Felt shut down. On day one the nose was muted but there were some violets and even a touch of menthol through the veil. On day two it even felt a little dilute. On day 3 with bavette and chilli jam it finally gave some depth, a little tar and dark fruit came through. Just not giving, but wouldn’t be surprised if this emerges from its cocoon to be a beautiful complex Barolo in a number of years. Needs lots of time to emerge from its introspection.

Classic vs. Modern Barolo Masterclass w/ Pomeroy MW; 9/1/2021-9/2/2021 (The Wine Sellar and Brassiere): Pronounced aromatics of sweet, ripe cherries, rose petal, black licorice, anise, and spice. Those flavors carry over to the palate, which is a more forward and softened approach to tannin. Good length to the finish. Noticeable sweet vanilla and smoke to the palate, which indicates some new French Oak. Enjoy this wine over the next decade while you wait on those bigger 2016's to develop.
Tech notes: 25-30 day maceration; 30% french oak barriques; Tortonian soil ---> more fertile soil, more perfumed, more accessible at an early age.

Pnp, initially a really musty smell, horse stable maybe, wet underbrush, let this bottle breathe for three+ hours, a nice fruit smell emerges, on the palate great acid bite, tight tannin, red fruit driven, some minerals appear with chalk and fruit peel, very good grip, only mid bodied and really elegant, layered finish, would recommend to hold this one for at least 5+ years, alternatively give this one a decent 5+ hour decant, great Barolo to come *(**-****), around 91- 93+ potential

Wonderful. Definitely needed some serious air at this stage. Young. Massive tannins. Strong fruit and acid. Surprisingly clear / light in color - more like a Barbaresco in that way. Medium to full bodied. Long finish. Very delicious wine.

1년만에 다시 만난 와인
진한 체리, 산딸기, 장미, 가죽의 향
과실의 힘이 엄청나다.
전보다 더 풍부하고 화사한.
산도도 좋고 꽤나 파워풀.
타닌은 적당히 부드러워졌다.
1년만에 너무 훌륭한 다른 와인이 되버렸네.
