Nose is light and floral. Palate has light floral notes with a nice balance of mineral and the light acidity. paired with a dinner of corn on the cob, fried okra, fresh, sliced tomatoes, and potato patties. Was delicious and very enjoyable.

Medium gold in colour with slightly restrained aromas of apricot/peach & a hint floral. On the palate, medium bodied citrus/lemon, stone fruit, apricot/peach, hint floral, biscuit, slightly creamy mouthfeel, high acidity with a long finish to lemon peel & a saline, chalky minerality. Very enjoyable, well crafted wine!

We had this with some of my Quatsino Sound Albacore Tuna. Served with tuna belly cevichi and then with seared tuna. Wine matched excellent with the seared tuna/ wasabi/ soy/ sesame seed. Not as good a match with the cevichi/ hint of jalapeno.

Medium lemon in colour with aromas of floral/blossoms, minerality, honey & tropical fruit in the background. Medium bodied citrus/lemon, green fruit/green apple, perhaps unripe stonefruit, a creaminess, and is somewhat saline with high acidity. Finish is long to a chalky minerality & an aftertaste of biscuit, possibly from aging on the lees. Even with 14%ABV, this wine is balanced & complex & very well crafted! Well done & a great price point!

Light golden color. Fresh ripe nose of peach while the palate is more towards tropical fruit, but also with refreshing acidity. 14% alcohol. It spends 3 to 6 months on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks. Definitely fruitier and fuller compared to most Alabrino from Rias Baixas, but there’s still plenty of acidity to keep it crisp with a bit of minerality. Bodega Garzon is also located close to the Atlantic (albeit the other side of the Atlantic) much like the Albarino of Galicia, so it gets some ocean influence in the wine.

A good/better example of a quality bistro wine. Pale gold, watery edge, and bright/clear. Aromas are reluctant if too cool, so I suggest this between 50F-55F; shows some honey aromas, with mineral, and pear. Nearly medium-bodied, and clean, this is drinking well now, but will likely improve a bit and drink well through 2023, at least. Screwcap, 14,0% abv. A good choice, at a fair price. recommended+

Fall Fishing Day (The Ranch, WI): Medium golden color. Drank a glass over an hour. Boat wine #2, and an odd ball at that. Robert out did himself with this wine. Please try not to do that again :). This was pretty aggressive to start with, lots of sour citrus, more to grapefruit and citrus pith, mineral, and rather bitter on the end. I will say that after a very healthy soak, this seemed more approachable and actually had a more tropical nose and palate with less bitterness and bite. Score based on that point.

N: Fragrant lemons with notes of spice, poss minerals
P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an almost puckerish acidity which does, ULT, become a LONG, pleasant finish. NEEDS/deserves 6-12 mos to meld, after which my currently VG/VG+ *will* be low. [Check with this vendor if interested in their COMPETITIVE price.]
Note: Also tasted on 3/30/19 when, for whatever reason, I was SIGNIFICANTLY > impressed. So, unsure whether this is in the doldrums, or perhaps an "off" bottle?

Full of freshly cut fruit and minerals. There is plenty of wine here but also an understatement and inherent freshness. It is waxy of texture and finishes with mouthwatering acidity. There's a refreshing saline mineral quality.

The pretty nose offers fragrant and ripe apricot and peach aromas with hints of lemon citrus. It is medium-full bodied on the structured palate that has a slight spritzy character. Dry flavour profile with citrus, tangy grapefruit, white floral and herbally notes that are lifted with fresh, crisp, and bright acidity. Stone and citrus fruit flavours give way to mineral notes on the long, crisp finish.

N: Apples, minerals, & a salinity? Flowers/perfume with swirling; Intensity lurking?
P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by BRACING (init very, VERY slightly spritzy) acidity which sets the parameters for the LONG, TANGY/swt (70:30) finish. VERY nicely done, particularly IF one appreciates richer style than typical for Rias Baixas. For now & through '21 without problem, + could well improve a tad for the next 6 mos or so.
