Agree w/previous notes indicating faint hint of oxidation, but not finding it in the mouth and it seems to pass by my senses after a few minutes (do not think it is blowing off). Lemon without the brutal acid. Touch of creme. Lovely. In a really good spot.

Very oxidative nose but not oxidized. Nutty, dried fruit, Madeira, good acidity still. Since I struggle with any wine that has oxidative aromas my score is probably on the low side. 89-92

F1 2015 Finals on TV (Pine Close): Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 2 hours. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of honey, honeysuckle, cotton wool, waxy lanolin, and petroleum with more air. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of oxidative nuttiness, honey, honeysuckle, wax, bruised red apples, some bitter orange peel. Medium finish. Good quality Hermitage Blanc. I was guessing an aged Loire dry Chenin Blanc. I don't have much experience with aged Rhone whites. This is a really profound wine. A beautiful nose. A dry wine with nice honey aromas and flavour. What's lacking is the fruit support on the palate, which leaves a sense of hollowness. Could the fruit be in a shut-down phase? I am really not sure. 65% Marsanne, 35% Roussanne.

91 pts

Nice golden, glossy colour, shows its age in an inviting way. The nose has citrus, mineral, ripe fruit notes. Light glycerin texture on the palate, very mineral and focused wine. Good ripe fruit and has very little of the Rhone white bitter edge. Very nice and pure wine true to its origin. 91-92 and drinks very nicely now, has the stuffing to go a long way albeit the fresh primary side of it is gone to pastures greener.

Deep rich, bright. golden color, medium to full bodied full of texture and flavor- peach, honey, peach, and hazelnut- delightful in the moouth with an evening of seafood at Avenue on of the shore.

Really strange on the nose. It's difficult to find any aromas besides mineral notes and burn tyres (similar to Riesling wines). Freshness and vegetable notes. But fortunately everything changes on the palate. Fresh, bitter and greasy at the same time. Full bodied, with density, smoked aromas, mineral notes, medlar, great acidity, itchy. Perfectly paired with a creamy Gamonedo cheese made with milk from cow, sheep and goat. Like I said, it's not easy to describe, but this wine has something which invites to drink it over and over again.

Exceptional wine. Chamomile, citrus mostly bitter orange, dry nuts, white truffle and minerality. Also a whiff of wet wool. Very fine palate with evident oak, quince and long aftertaste. A very fine wine.

ProWein, Day 3 (Duesseldorf, Germany): Incredibly complex evergreen, mint and underbrush nose (straw even?), extreme and opulent butterscotch. On the palate this exhibits med-bodied weight, subtle botterscotch notes again, not such an acidic dynamic, but nevertheless comes across as mildly refreshing. Good wine.

Platinum Tasting - Rhones (Andre and Sabine's House, Mountain View, CA): Sweeter nose than the other wines in this flight (B++). Good acidity and good depth, but feels like it needs more time (B+/B++).
My #5, Group's #3 (22 pts). Tasted blind.
