Fabulous! With a tuna tartare it just sang verses! I've gone through a case of this wine much too fast. Only one bottle left. How I wish I had 3 or 4 more cases!

Rich, enjoyable bitterness, ripe fruit with noticeable abscense of acid. Seems like this was well on it's way to a sweet wine when it was harvested. A shame they let fermentation consume all the sugar. It might have been a fun sweet wine but instead it is a characterless dry white wine. Well, it does have a rich ripe character but I would have loved a slightly more elegant, acidic and dancing version.

@ Chez Bru, Eygaliere. Our dinner white, ordered because of the great acclaim for the 2007 vintage. The WOTN for me, over the 2003 Clos des Papes(Laurence Feraud of Pegau agrees with my view that the 03 CdP's are in a dumb stage), and the 2004 Beaucastel. Ellen loved it, and correctly compared it to an excellent Leeuwin Flower bottling. Has great acidity, balance, and tropical fruit flavors. Wish I could get some here.

Popped and poured at 10C. Clear, pale yellow. On the nose this has a lively bouquet of orchard fruits - peach, apricot and apple - coupled with a mineral, flint note. Soft attack, with some oak notes immediately making themselves known, then giving way to a round, oily mid-palate of lanolin, petrol, and acidity that builds into a reverberating spine of edgy notes supporting some - but surprisingly not many - of the original orchard fruit notes. The finish is moderately long, with some astringentness marring the final. Overall enjoyable, moderately complex, and very food friendly - in fact it was striking how much better it went with food than en apperitif. 50+5+12+15+6=88.

Trip to France; 10/13/2008-10/24/2008 (Burgundy, Rhone Valley (Chateauneuf-du-Pape), Paris): Nose more expressive than the Cotes du Rhone with warmer fruit, some oak, pear, and floral notes. Fresh acidity on the palate, but in check and balanced with citrus and melon flavors. Lengthy fruit finish with mineral and slate, stays together nicely. Impressive complex finish. Really nice wine, quite enjoyable.

Very, very good. Gets better with oxygen so don't hurry to drink it after opening.

Straw yellow; not much in the nose; soft, round, slight sense of spices; nice everyday wine

Soft bitterness, banana. Not extremely complex, but the finish is very long and very pleasant.
