Great with some crudo of halibut and lemon juice at Black Sheep in SB. Typical PYCM initial aromas of struck match, which dissipated a bit by the end of the evening. Lighter in style than other wines Pierre makes, but compared to the other PYCM(2020 Bougogne blanc), this was way more substantial and complex. For the price(of PYCM wines), this is a good value.

Pale yellow, less reductive than expected. White fruited, lovely full texture, but ultimately I found this to be a simple wine with not much going on, certainly no fireworks and I find the comments about this being special/complex to be way off the mark. Perfectly pleasant and eminently quaffable, however I bought this on the secondary market and as such this was deeply unimpressive for the money. We opened a Pataille Aligoté afterwards which knocked it into the proverbial cocked hat.

Clear light yellow. Struck match, lemon, oak spice, unrepentant pear and cold butter. Dry but rich lemon curd, butter and brine flavours and a dry vicious finish.
Kept improving over about 3 hours. I am a PYCM fan boy.

Alvin's. PnP. Came out rocking! Perfumed white flower, flinty, good acidity, with pear and creamsicle fruit, great depth, long finish. Even blind these wines show as extra special.

very nice for a village wine... high acidity (esp. for '18) with citrus and some floral notes / perfume (?)... uh oh, just looked at the price and figured it would be $50-$60 but turns out I paid $108 for these... still nice but average QPR at that price

Nose is not there yet - there's the signature PYCM reductive notes along with wonderful texture and citrus flavors. Great mouthfeel. Check back in a year.

Very lean and not very giving. Tart lemon, white flower, vanilla and flint/mineral. Very reductive. Likely just needs several years. Potential score to 93.

65+ year old vines from four Lieut dits: En Journoblot, Les Beuttes, Les Houllieres, Fontaine Sot.
Admittedly drinking this young but I find it ready to go
Nose - fresh peach, and only a hint of the PYCM matchstick that I am used to and that in higher concentration hinders my enjoyment. However not the case here. Mouth - pit fruit attack with nicely mineral midpalate. Good tart finish. It has all of everything but the dial is turned down in terms of intensity, compared to some other recent Chassagne 1ers I have recently sampled. However as it warms I can perceive some of the richness shining through. Good for village wine though QPR is debatable. There are plenty of quality Italian whites that provide equal pleasure at 1/3 the price.

really liked this, solid chassagne Montrachet with plenty o' acidity, good citrus based fruit, lees, tiny bit of citrus rind... nothing special but very good for a weekday evening drink... frankly surprised to see I paid $108 (including tax / shipping)... not sure about the QPR as a result
Plenty of smoky mineral reduction along with notes of preserved lemon. It is dense and sappy, with good volume and intensity. The finish is loaded with chalk and it has excellent length. Plenty of material here upon which to age.

Classic PYCM but notably lighter in style despite the ripe vintage. Very enjoyable. 90-91

A Few Wines Tasted at Lisa and Sheldon's Engagement Party (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Small glass, brief note. Very reduced when tasted. so unable to appreciate the wine, despite lots of dense materials clearly being evident. This had been open for a while, so a decant would really have helped.

Nice minerality but a bit tart. Perhaps too young.
