Lots of pineapple, apricot and white flowers on the nose. No petrol by now. A lovely lemony character and the perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. Getting more complexity with ageing it will be a stunner!

Pineapple whipped creak sundae, canned pears, still very acidic. Flaky and sweet apple pie. Probably needs another 10 years.
But to justify the price compares to other Mosel ausleses I'd say it had better develop well over the next decade. At this point it is not distinguishing itself for the cost (this is a harsh angle; obviously it's tasty).

JJ Prum - 2018 range tasting: Slate, passionfruit, smoke, lemon curd and orange peel. The palate is impeccable - pure, fresh and delicate with great depth. Really open already, it has great flavour but also a real sense of precision. Irresistible appeal.

Krotida Wine Gang Tasting, Weingut JJ Prum Horizontal tasting 2018 (Oinoscent): 7.5% The wine is showing reduction again but not as much as the Spätlese, citrus fruit in the back, green lemon leaves, lime, pineapple, there is a beautiful exotic nuance here. In the palate, the wine is very light, almost ethereal, what feels like medium acidity, there is a bit of CO2 here (which wasn’t there hours later), the wine shows medium to long finish
