Powedered wet cement on the nose. Almost no fruit at first. Palate has rich tropical fruit with balancing acidity. Minerally. Shortish finish. Lemon zest. Day 3 - all weirdness on the nose blew off. Sulphury with honey. Still lots of honeyed tropical fruit and apples on the palate. Acidity keeps it in balance. Great pairing with pesto.

Champagne in colour this wine expresses itself with its individuality. Tropical fruit nose, with banana and grapefruit- all quite ripe. All this is compounded in the palate with a wonderful zeal and freshness. A good medium/long finish and decent midpalate. This makes a good food partner and is worth looking into.

better than their marsanne. dave cooked truffled rice with this-yum! and greeted me and the aunts with a glass at the begining of the kebab cookout. i liked the balance and the chard shows well, giving a base to the high toned viognier.

A little bit cleaner than I would have expected from Qupe. Although the oiliness of Viognier is showing through. Toni thinks its changed allot since first open -- it has gotten rounder and more waxy. Hazelnut notes and viognier notes are weird together.

13.5% alcohol. 50% chardonnay, 50% viognier. $16.99 from costco. pear, white flowers, some mild vanilla extract. sharp/ tart acidity holds this wine back.

COLOR - golden, lighter than normal chard to me. NOSE - Viognier dominates the aroma, also burnt wood, and some tropical fruitiness like maybe mango. TASTE - great acidity and balance. Chard up front, the Vig on the backside. Long finish. Oak and butter initially, and transitioned to some citris hints on the pallete. Felt fresh and crisp in the mouth. Good wine, we'll enjoy more bottles of this.

Enjoyed this again. Maybe could taste as much because my head's plugged up, but T and Sarah liked it too. Would buy again. Good complexity, chard on the front and viognier on the finish. Nice butter, nice fruit.

Mandarin orange and pink grapefruit. Some vanilla/oak. Tropical fruits. Very balanced in the mouth. I love the tart acidity.

Dosen't seem to be performing as well as about a year ago. This wine seems to have a better balance when the "freshness" is still there.
Still a good wine, but I do plan on consuming my last 2 bottles sooner rather than later. I belive it's starting to become discombobulated as it ages.

A touch light, and honestly, a bit odd, but still appealing for its mixture of peach pit and green apple flavors. Medium bodied.

Too hot. Decent flavor. The 2005 was much better.

This was quite good for under $20, but I think I preferred the Marsanne even more
