  • Beautiful notes of tropical fruit on the nose. Great acid structure. Especially good with food.

  • Deep notes on nose, while palate is bright with acidity. Balance is fine but my first reaction is to give this a bit more time in the cellar to see if palate rounds out. But no question this is great to drink now - and with air this is moving quickly in my hoped-for direction. Meanwhile my Lyon-raised partner is raving about every sip - and her happiness is an important factor...

  • Salty, honeycomb, green apples and some citric elements.
    Very pleasant.

  • Consistent with a bottle tasted a few months ago, but perhaps a bit more oak. Very good.

  • Rich texture that is reminiscent of coconut oil, lanolin, and olive oil, along with tropical fruit (pineapple and Meyer lemons), peaches, apples, and apricots. Lots of orange peel on the citrusy finish and some bergamot and quinine. You get a good sense of sea air and the salinity is even more pronounced on the second day (when I liked it better). You get a sense of the oak, but not as much as the Rollin Les Fretilles that I just opened. (that one had 30% new oak).

  • This one seemed tired, bruised apple and high acidity. Notes of barnyard present

  • Medium gold; medium-plus intensity aromatics, yellow apple, buttery, a bit of stone fruit; palate is full bodied, richness throughout, balanced with medium-plus acidity, medium-plus but balanced 14.3% alcohol, stone fruit; finish is medium length. Nice intensity of aromatics and overall a very well built white burgundy, showing the richness of Macon and well balanced. 90

  • Dull yellow, not perfectly clear. At first, a rich Mâcon expression of yellow apple and butteriness, but with air and time in the glass, much more orange zest, liveliness, quinine, and minerality. Intriguing evolution and much more pleasing to me at the end than the beginning.

  • Acidity, mineral, all kinds of nose, mainly lemon and herb and where they all meet to disappear show this isn't just a mere pouilly fuisse.
Very subtle balance, and also very hard not to like this bottle.

  • De la pomme, assez pur et frais avec une belle tension aussi, belle finesse, très bien. 90-91 Jour 2 couleur un peu trouble.

  • The nose shows salty tropical fruit scents, high intensity, full and engaged on the tongue, wonderful saline, mineral and lime notes on the palate, smooth texture, high acid, well-built stuff, great with battered fish sticks

  • Off the wine list at Shucked. Drank a bit with oysters and then brought the rest of it back to explore slowly over the rest of the day. Initially tight and restrained and did its job. Opened up few hours later in bottle.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of herbal perfume (?green olives), yellow lemon pith and fleshy pulp, yellow peach and bits of lime, mixed minerals - steeliness with white stones and gunpowder flint also. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), rounded medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of honeyed ripe citrus yellow lemon pulp and pith, ripe yellow peaches, some minty herbs. Ends with a creamy note though without any sign of overt oak. Long deep powered structured finish with a touch of oil.
Very good quality. Doesn't immediately make you want to rack up the superb points, but causes you to ponder upon its profoundness long after the finish. Good showcase of the Pouilly-Fuisse terroir.

  • Very good wine that is stacked and in need of time imo. First hour it is totally dense and compacted. It has beautiful nose with very slight matchstick, white fruit, vanilla. It's big boned, dense. Needs lots of air to slowly show its layers of acidity, salinity. Long finish. Serious white Burg. Serious value.

  • From memory an utterly delicious white burgundy with classical balance of rich fruit and creamy minerality in a crackling acid frame.

  • Old vines Chardonnay unusually grown on schist rather than clay/limestone. Quite a full yellow. Distinctive nose - yellow fruits, with some suggestion of sweetness to come. Citrus on the palate - lime and lemon - but also some gentle tropical notes - pineapple. Pure fruited - not floral or perfumed. Good intensity of flavor with a fine thread of acid driving the wine to a long finish. Clean. Just not especially complex yet, though I think it will never become a truly perfumed wine. Fine. You could wait on this.

  • Middle golden. Puh, this bottle was in need of much more air than the last one. I've feared it has developed in just another matchstick wine with too much reduction. But hey, two to three hours in the decanter let it blossom and the matchstick scents and flavors disappeared (nearly to full extent). Maybe the wine has digested the air from bottling and needs more. Nevertheless this bottle left me much less convinced. 5/12/16/9. -2030?

  • Quite a solid Burgundy for the money. Purchased 3 bottles and they were gone in a week. I'd put this on par with a Saint Aubin from a top producer, but this is (for the moment) easier to source.

  • Fantastic wine! Medium lemon color; medium plus intensity of bread, brioche, lemon, lime, citrus peel, wet stones, slate, and lavender. Dry, medium plus acid, medium plus acid with medium alcohol; medium plus finish; outstanding wine with complex and long nose; extremely integrated palate with lees, fruit, and earth all balanced brilliantly

  • Love this wine. The color is like a beautiful yellow diamond, rich and translucent. On the nose I get warm fruit like baking lemon and peach, along with a gentle mustiness. On the palette, it's smooth, silky, rich and has a touch of minerality. Lemon, olive and baking spice fill the palette. This is one of my most favorite newly tasted wines, and I will absolutely buy more.

  • Très beau, attaque ronde mais pur et frais avec une tension juste ce au’il faut pour en faire un bel ensemble.

  • Golden. First reductive nose, but that vanishes within a minute. Pears, flint, melon, crumbly apples, apricots, honeysuckle, some toast lurking through. On the palate with refreshing acidity, intense, quite long with fruity finish that is going on and on ending oaky, but then the fruit comes up again. Despite of the 94 points from the WA (for the 2016), I'm surprised about the quality and furthermore fun delivering style here. Complex, and simply yummy and animating. 5/13+/18/9+. I'm uncertain about the longevity. If it is going to age for more than a decade in a positive way, my score maybe is still one point to low. Ready to drink for me and outstanding. -2030. -2040? Good q/p-ratio.
