This wine just does not disappoint. Dark red fruit and mineral nose. The very fine tannins and intensity of flavours make this wine very enjoyable right now, but still has many years to go. This was a particularly fine bottle. That is fully mature.

This was very nice and much better than prior Morots I’ve had that were from the 1990-1996 vintages. Red fruit, almost feminine, some tannic rusticity but the general gestalt is red fruit / floral / hint of tertiary age. Not super dense but really quite delicious. Tasted alongside a 2009 Bize Vergelesses; this was better for the first 60 min until the Bize caught up and ultimately surpassed it.

Great colour. Soft still reserved nose. Much more fireworks on the palate. Lovely mix of red fruit and spicy earthiness. Tannins have resolved. Drinking beautifully at the moment. No need to keep

this was shy at first and needed 4 hours in the decanter to really show what it has.
it displayed sweaty funky aromas, and the palate was on the darker, richer side of pinot, strong fruit and plenty of savory character as well. very good wine that's definitely more than ready to drink.

2005 Albert Morot 1er Cru Beaune Bressandes. Seemingly perfectly aged right now. An aroma of bright red fruit immediately upon opening. With dry hot stone, peppermint, chocolate. The palate delivers incredible balance, precision and a silky smooth texture. It coats the mouth with a creamy soft layer, backed up by leather, red fruit, subtle marshmallow, black currant and a tiny hint of minerality and earth. This is an incredible drinking wine that needs very little thought, just a pleasure to drink. 93pts, not for its complexity, but for its deliciousness and ease to enjoy.

Part of 2005 Burgundy tasting. First in the lineup. Pure dark red cherries and raspberries, earthy notes and mineral nose; full bodied; drinking beautifully an nowhere near maturity.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and day 2 -med dark red, minimal bricking -expressive moderate wood warm earth touch of sweet sousbois -med acidity provides an abundance of youthful energy, med weight deep sweet earthy plum black cherry oak, med/med+ tannins; surprisingly the wood is better integrated on day 2 where it is softer fuller with more plum and more complete -starting to develop early signs of maturity but the abundant sappy mid-palate, residual oak and tannic structure suggest this still has a a few years to go before hitting its prime; less animale than most prior vintages I've tasted

Grabbed this out of the cellar without too much forethought ... really points to how good these '05s are up and down the Cote d'Or and up and down the classification ranges, even for non-star producers. Rich, concentrated nose of flowers, white pepper, chicken stock and earth (almost nebbiolo-like) gives way to still-dense tannins and nice fruit balance on palette. Too young by a couple of years, I think.

First of 12 bottles. Full typical Pinot Noir. Tannines appear at the end with a slight bitterness. Very complex and promising. This will need time, I think. Will all the sharp edges disappear?

Per previous - certainly needs more time. Last glass was the best - it really started to fill out. Quite light but carries plenty of concentrated flavours.

Ruby. Fantastic nose, which improved as the night went on - violets. Quite concentrated and intense and takes time to unwind. A little sour initially but came together after a couple of hours. Very earthy with some quite grippy tannin. Needs more time.

Orange peel asian spice sexy bressandes. This is as you described a wow wine that is perfectly balanced and nicely thick with asian spice, fruit cake nose and orange peel scent. Reminds me more of a great young pommard. Excellent wine

Still younger than the ripe 1999 or 2002 or 2003. Give him several years more and it will get 1 or 2 points more. Very good Pinot Noir.
