  • I rated this wine 80 in 2012 and 85 in 2010. This was clearly significantly better. The bottle drank in 2012 was probably corked as I noted leakeage in the cork and brackish coloring. This bottle was fresh and lively with good acidity, balanced and smooth. CT drinking window is thru 2012, clearly that was not my experience as wine is drinking very well now and shows no sign of being over the hill .

  • I am sorry for my North American friends who clearly had off or rapidly aged bottles. This was in a perfect place, at least on opening and drinking (the last sip, after 2 hours, was flat). Silky, hints of vanilla bean (not oak), with almost no tannins, and a long finish, and a very clean mouth feel. I would not hold any longer though, and it is much less harsh than most NSG - almost Chambolle-like.

  • Subtle fruit remaining, plenty of elegance but probably past peak. I got a good price on it so good value in my opinion

  • 2nd of 3 bottles. I had the first bottle 2 years ago and rated it 85. The cork had a little seepage, and the wine had the brickish brown colouring starting on the edge. Some fruit, just was not that good. My experience with French Pinot's has been very unimpressive. It also hurts that I way overpaid for the wine, never again!

  • After my last bottle, this was really the ultimate last bottle, and again, see my previous note,
a copybook Nuits St. Georges. This wine showed all the elegance and stylish power it had
côte à côte with wild pig filet and lots of different kinds of mushrooms.
Please bring me another half dozen!

  • Paired with salmon. Not equal Tony last bottle.

  • I bought 3 bottles of this from Eli's in Royal Oak in 2007, overpaid, last time I will buy wine from him. I was expecting more, took to Tom's for Good Friday celebration. I am not a big fan of Pinot's, so maybe I'm not a good judge, just didn't seem like the wine is worth anything close to what I payed. Nobody commented on the wine being anything special.

  • See my previous note. This time a little less bouquet and a slightly deeper taste and concentration.
Still 'Noblesse oblige'. Alas, my last bottle.

  • Combined with three 2006 wines of Olivier Leflaive this nuits was something special.
I think I like 2004 in Burgundy . The wines combine elegance with purity, without too many force.
If you have forgotten how pinot has to smell, just put your nose in this wine.
After the perfect bouquet with a positive tightness, the midtaste and aftertaste are
very balanced, nearly soapy (positive!) and long. Enjoy a bottle now and follow the development of this wine.
