Consistent with previous notes, this wine is fresh, concentrated, and with better depth of flavors, ending in a long finish. The wood which was quite obvious two years ago has started to recede, a good sign for the future. Excellent. 2028-2038.

Deep purple but medium bodied with a nose of berries and bramble the taste is dark fruit and brooding that lacks freshness and is lower acidity with big tannins and a somewhat fiery long finish. The wood currently is overwhelming the fruit. Needs a LOT more time to to come into balance. Drink in 2028 and beyond — the structure of this wine demands waiting.

Lunch at Bellota: Lovely lifted red fruit nose, albeit still restrained. Palate shows the red fruits, albeit very reserved on opening, though breathed up over 30 minutes or so. Good length and structure. Given time will be a lovely, perfumed, red fruited Burgundy.

La Paulee NYC 2022 walkaround tasting Slightly oaky, but well integrated, blue and red fruits, energetic wine, not very dense but long, no heat. Excellent.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Charming nose is well spiced with ripe black fruit. Palate is similar but the tannins are brooding and intimidating. Very firm throughout, but lots of dense and powerful stuff here hinting at future potential, but I think this is like those old time Faiveley wines that will need two decades in the cellar. Needs until 2033 or later.

PnP. ABV 14%. 0.3Ha. Bottle #1990. Apparently part purchased grapes. Dark garnet in color and I mean really dark. Lightly floral nose with hints of dark soils and spices. Low acidity and fine tannins, very good density and length with warmth at backend. Uninspiring for the plot.
Wow. Dark, ripe and ready to drink! (24 hrs after decanting and poured back into the bottle, of course). Textbook NSG. Oak and vanilla. Spice and sauvage. Cherry and ever so ripe strawberry. Love the ripeness. There's some tannic action but I'm not sure... she might better with age... but sooooo lovely right now...
From a mixture of purchased grapes and own Domaine grapes. The 2018 Les Saint Georges is still reductive (meaty) but already showing close to Grand Cru weight and intensity. Bright and refreshing dark fruits and structured backbone. (85/100)
