Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club": Priorat (@ My place): Red and dark berries as well as sweet spices in the bouquet. On the palate juicy dark berries, some graphite, pleasant oak, good and fresh acidity and a bit grainy tannin which is a bit drying.

Wanted to love this ... thin, funk that needs to blow off, sour cherry and bitterness, short finish, disappointing. Sorry, love the bigger red blends from the region with big fruit and minerality and this is not that. Will try again tomorrow. DAY TWO -- much better. Violets and sour cherry/blackberries, minerals from the slate, fuller mouthfeel and finish. A lighter Priorat than others but decent. Upping rating from 86 to 89.

lighter body with thin mid palate; diet cola in there; some good fruit with shortish finish except for the syrah-like tannins; did i get a different bottle than the rest of you?

This is drinking nicely now with a long decant, but really deserves a few more years in the cellar minimum Meaty and leathery aromas, brooding dark fruits, black plums, and wet clay and earth The palate has ripe black raspberry and polished medium tannins Excellent length 91-92

Leather and meat, black fruits, granite stone, and some smoke, some blue fruit Medium+ body High but silky tannins with some grip at the end Savoury and black fruit palate Excellent length Built to age mid-term, but still enjoyable now

Unconventional blend, but otherwise straight down the fairway Priorat. Licorella twang, spice dialed up a bit — cinnamon, cloves, peppercorn, rosemary. Maybe due to high % of Syrah? A clear and satisfying sense of place without being a caricature of the style. Will drink again.

Aromas of plum, dark cherry, strawberry candy, wild blueberry, blood, petrichor, cinnamon, graphite, thyme, white and purple flowers... this is ripe and flamboyant on the nose, but there is great lift and freshness to it. Complex and velvety on the palate, with layers of ripe fruit, a strong acid line cutting through its richness and supple tannins. Long and composed, with beautiful ripe fruit and mineral nuances lingering. This is top notch. Priorat this good is usually two or three times as expensive. Will be worth following for 10+

Sara Perez wines with Michel Jamais (At six, Brunkebergstorg): I felt like that person who prefers the cheapest chocolates in favor of the expensive single estate dark cocoa. This was by far the cheapest wine of the flight except the rosa, but I liked it very much as it was clearly ready to go now, the perfume was less intense and complex but the palate had an inky cabernet style to it leading in to a spicy, soft, garnacha like sweet fruit complexity and finish on the stern and lean side. Perhaps the tannins were slightly drying at the finish. but So good for so few monies.

Dark fruit, spice and tannins on first sip. With some air, it opened up a bit with more complex red and black fruits combined with spice. Good, but not great. May have needed more aeration.

Rustic, in a good way. In a great spot, I don't think it will improve so drink up.

Not as much depth as some of the higher priced Priorats, but excellent for the price. Still young, should evolve more with additional time.

No formal notes. Herbs and sweet spices and soft dark berry fruits. Good acidity. Beautiful , still very youthful wine. 91 – 92+
