Medium ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe strawberry, ripe morello cherry, forest floor, mushroom, wet leaves, rose petals and violet. Medium taste of ripe strawberry, ripe morello cherry, forest floor, mushroom, wet leaves, black pepper, licorice and dried herbs. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Light and grainy tannins. Medium body. A very good Fleurie that has matured well. Needed an hour of air to integrate. Drink now. Goes well with duck, mushrooms or pork.

Bought and consumed in the Netherlands. Introvert nose, not as floral as I hoped for from a Fleurie. Where are the esters of violets and bright field and forest flowers? The mouthfeel is pleasant, round despite the noticeable and it itself nice acidity. Licorice flavors from the gamay shines, dominates and lingers. Almost one dimensional. The wine has an impressive low abv of 12.5% in a hot year. Incomplete fermentation? There is something that held this wine back in nose and flavors. Not a wine to dislike but unfortunately not as good as a Fleurie should be, not what I hoped for and not a repeat purchase at 23 euros.

Great approachable, versatile, and classically-styled wine. This has broad appeal and can be served slightly chilled or closer to room temp. No need to hold for any period of time. It will open up after an hour or so but is still a great PnP.

I feel like Brun’s wines deserve more acclaim than they get. Nose of violets and cherries, with a whiff of licorice. Classy, and balanced, showing juicy crancherry fruit on the palate, roses and violets, completes dry, and held in check by chalky tannins and favorite minerals. Good acid and mid-weight. Shows the ripe year but has a taut structure, 12.5% alcohol, and totally compelling.

Smells like your grandma’s garden (in a good way!). Fresh, very floral (peony, rose) supported by red cherry and touch of wet earth. Mouthwatering acidic backbone making the wine linger on the palate. Quite aromatic, high acid, fairly light bodied, modest alcohol (12.5%). Imho the perfect easy lunch wine

Red/violet, aromatic, red berries, flowers, ripe banana and herbs. Smooth, medium+ weight and balance. Red berries, more herbs almost a bit spits and fresh/mineral. Medium+ length.

From memory. Deep red with violet rim. Modest nose of garden berries. Rustic. Better with some air. Fresh and extracted fruit. Rustic more than elegant. Ok lenght. Better in a couple of years.

Very nice. Acidity sets it off balance a bit. Uplifting, lingering finish.

Cherry, raspberry, and floral on the nose leading to a somewhat spicy and dry palate with a clean lightly minerally finish.

Bær og noe mer på lukt. Greit med syre og noe tanniner. God og drikke uten mat.
