Clearly a Bruno wine with its glassy mouthfeel, very dark and Pinot ink. Delicious, but young. Agree w/pretty much every tasting note so far. NM's question mark about the green note was present for me this time, but was a feature, not a bug.

Savory notes that are classic savigny almost come off a touch ripe and sweet, almost reminiscent of Cali pinot. Pretty tasty now and should develop into a nice mature wine in 15 years.

La Paulee NYC 2022 walkaround tasting Typical of La Dominode, a terroir that produce concentrated and round and sturdy black fruited wines. Here this is very concentrated and soil driven, yet it remains quite elegant and true to both terroir and Bruno Clair style. Very good at its level, long persistent finish.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. A big step up. As dense as Longeroies, but layered and approachable, but equally cellarworthy. I really like the bright fruit, density, and balance here. This will drink well in just another year or three and hold for decades to come.

Barrel Tasting at Bruno Clair (Marsannay): Red fruit with more clay, earth and smoke in the aromas. Bright with lots of fresh red fruits. A bit more austere and structured in the finish relative to the CdN village wines. 90-91+

Burgundy, Day 3 (Beaune, France): Barrel sample. Yet another example of Clair that is very true to the stereotype of the terroir. This is relatively more coarse in texture, and in general isn't showing the best right now as it feels a little clamped and hard. But the underlying raw material is very good and I think there's good aging potential.

Beautiful and raspberry notes. With a focused line across the palate. Refined and tight.
