Really good on Day 2. Classic RR red fruit - cherries, raspberries. 20 second finish. Tartness and fine tannins making me drool but balanced with the sweetness of the fruit. First KB I've had in several years. Great surprise.

PNP. Drank over several hours. Needed some air to open up. Nice aromatics, matched by the palate. Dark red fruit, raspberry, cranberry, cola, vanilla. Ripe fruit, bit of spice from the alcohol. Accessible now with short decant. Nicely made in the modern style, if a bit pricey for what it is.

Sweet nose of vanilla, spices, like mace and myrtle-leaved orange tree (chinotto), kirsch cherry, alcohol. The same cherries on the palate with alcohol, drinks almost like a fruit port wine. Same nice spicy background and final of the myrtle-leaved orange tree. Sweet palate. Earthy undertones. Nice aromatics pleasant but way too alcoholic. The wine is ready to go.

Medium ruby color. Pronounced aromas of cherry and spice. Pronounced flavors of cherry, spice and a slight amount of earth. Medium to high acidity and alcohol. Long finish.

Previous bottle was off! This bottle was more classic KB. Ripe dark red cherry and dark berry flavors with spice and oaky notes on the nose and smooth palate with a moderate long finish.

Perhaps an off bottle (first of the 2018's), but just strikes me as light bodied and thin for a KB! Perhaps a KB-lite! Not what I expected having enjoyed KB since the 2003 vintage.

Sour cherry, dark cherry and rhubarb fruit. A bit of earth and meaty flavors along with an alluring floral overlay. Sweet seasoning. impeccable balance and pure, precise fruit on the palate. The only downer was some heat that couldn‘t be masked, albeit only at elevated temperatures, and the texture felt a bit rough. That said, the palate had a nice sweetness to it. Didn’t decant but drank over 3 days and this showed pretty consistently throughout. I think decanting doesn’t do much at this stage, but I do reckon 3-5 years of bottle age would definitely help to soften the edges.

A nose of cherries and spice, medium amber in color. A medium to full bodied Pinot, with currants, cherries, dust and spice on finish, was very smooth. www.winelx.com

Decanted an hour, and this was singing. Pure cranberry/raspberry fruit, and just enough earthiness. Not super complex but utterly delicious and balanced and a splendid pairing with a “Thanksgiving” spread on Christmas dinner.

Pinot's are not my go to wine so I can't speak with much experience but I would call this an nice wine probably go well with a salmon meal. Minus the salmon I decided to drink this one without a meal out of a 375ml bottle. The color is a slightly darker pink purplish tinge with a slightly floral nose. On the palate, raspberry and cherry fruit notes, medium bodied with some earthy elements. Not a bad wine but a style that might go nicely for a meal or a Sunday brunch. 90+ points.

Perfect with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Cranberry and raspberry notes lead the way, supported by hints of allspice, perfectly integrated oak, and lively acidity to keep it fresh. No bells and whistles here, just an expertly made Cali PN that will likely get even better in another year or two.

Bright cherry fruit, beautifully balanced and nice hint of spice and acidity on the finish. This is an excellent Russian River Pinot drinking very well.

Nose: muted cranberries; the restaurant is quite smoky Mouth: rich in dried cranberries and dried red fruits, firm tannic acid in the middle Finish: firm acid leads a spicy finish; but working well with an incredible duck breast with crispy skin.

Bright ruby color with slow legs. Black cherry, raspberry and cedar on the nose. Cherry cola, strawberry jam and bark on the palate. Long silky finish. Drinking real well at such a young age for a RRV.

Beautiful nose of cherries, raspberries, and vanilla. Medium bodied on the palate. Very balanced finish with notes of cherry vanilla cola. Still very bright. Definitely will wait a few more years before I open the other bottle. RRR is usually my least favorite appellation series wine from KB, but this one did not disappoint.

This hit me better than the first of these I tried. Displayed elegant red fruit and a bit more of a fleshy body than the prior bottle. It lands between elegance and powerful. It has a nice mouthfeel and expresses itself well from beginning to end. I still struggle with QPR for appellation wine compared with others that deliver just as well. Nothing wrong or flawed here at all.
I certainly think I drank this too early, but that being said I am not sure how or to what extent the wine will evolve. Bright red fruit, red raspberry and early red cherry. The weight and feel is medium-bodied to be generous. I found it lacking a bit of depth, but this could be evidence of the need for further maturation. It had some nice floral elements on the nose and palate but lacked a bit of oomph. It did not help that I drank another Pinot earlier in the evening that considerably wowed me more and was $38 less a bottle. I will hold on my other bottles of this to see where it goes.

As expected, excellent PN rendition; not overly extracted but feels like it had great depth and focus. Just what it should be and no more, this is a measure of focused, semi-extracted Pinot noir. Cherry, plumb, light on the nose and body. Excellent.

Notes of leather and pencil lead with a bit of cigar box on the nose. Fruit was a bit muted, but as the evening progressed, dark black cherries and a bit of raspberry appeared on the palate. A rather short finish. A nice wine that could probably improve with a bit more age, but a tad disappointing considering the price point. Drank over a 24 hour period. Very tight nose of fresh raspberries and new plum skin, initial tasting very acidic raspberries and fresh cut flowers. Fruit is in the back ground, and is secondary. The second day it show’s its integration with the acid with young plums and long finish-hold for another 1 to two years.
