  • As always, very good, but I struggle to agree with all the French reviewers hailing this as some of the best Rieslings from Alsace. Classic color, a bit evolved, light straw. Fine nose of yellow apples, some citrus, and a hint of petroleum and chalk. Medium to full bodied, lots of yellow apples on the mid palate, fine acidity, fresh aftertaste and good length. All in all a very good wine, but it is hard to find it fascinating. After the tasting it was drunk with a classic Norwegian course "fårikål" (cabbage and lamb cooked over several hours), and it really complemented the rustic food in a perfect way.

  • I like this more than the bottle last year. From the very first sip this wine is bright with tropical flavors, zesty, and does not tire your palate through the last sip. Fine with and without food. Very nice minerality in the finish. I wish I picked up more bottles.

  • Lively and racy. Petroleum and rubbery nose giving way white flower, jasmines and eleven flower. A medium weighted palate with hints orchard fruit, kiwi fruit, touches of dried mango, some herbal element, wet pebbles. Very nice

  • I quite enjoyed this and wanted to try this young after having a 1999 in February. Obviously a different experience but agree with most of the other tasting notes. It was very food friendly pairing well with the sushi rolls and appetizers.

  • The nose just dances right out of the glass, sprinkling apple, elderflower, apple blossom, green pear, white peach, candied lemon, grapefruit, chalk, flint, kerosine, baked apple, honey, and hazelnuts notes across the tasting room. You get all of this in the mouth, staying for a long, lingering finish. The fruit concentration more than meets the high acidity, setting up the components for further ageing.

It really is lovely. One to savour.

  • Simaopr to previous note. Very expressive and multi dimensional. Good spectrum of waxy fruit, orchard fruit, flint and amber. Very well made.

  • Not a typical Riesling drinker, bought this on a complete whim. As noted with others, quite expressive on nose and palate. Initial note give off some rubbery petrol notes fadin away to be more orchard, white pear fruits. Palate is quite front facing, with heavy tones of nuttiness, honey comb, amber, lanolin, wax and yeasty toast, some notes of crunchy gravel and chalky sea shell. Again very expressive all around. Will seek more of this for some aging.

  • An fascinating wine apart from most other wines produced in the world. This one combines honeyed fruit with razor sharp acidity and a strange minerality. Deep straw color on the verge of golden. Fascinating nose first dominated by honeysuckle, then fresh red apples, then an oily tone. The nose is not quite followed up in the mouth. It feels just a bit "unrealized", dominated by a bit of sweetness that covers the minerals and the more subtle fruit tones Long and fresh aftertaste with a honied tone combined with apples. This a bit disjointed at the moment, but I guess this is going to be a terrific wine in five years or so. My score is clearly too conservative, but this is how it is at the moment.

  • Aromatic, honey, wax, nutty, ripe fruit, very complex.
Full body, towards an oily texture, nice acidity, long.
Complex, well balanced and high consentration. A fuller and fatter style of riesling that's very delicious and approachable.

  • Tased after 2018 Riesling Clos Windsbuhl. Smoky, herbal, mineral, cooler in terms of fruit profile. Very dense and vibrant, very long . 92-93+

  • 13% alcohol. Handpicked grapes from 65 year old vines. 16 months on lees.

Light golden yellow in color. Rich and appealing aromas with a little bold feeling of ripe stone fruits, yellow powerful flowers, spices, nutshells and pretty salty minerality. Pretty full and rich mouthfeel that seduces. Powerful stone fruit, ripe citrus, juicy lime, grapefruit, spices and pretty stone minerality. Pretty long and serious finish.

Give the wine time in the cellar or have it for fat fish dishes today. 91 points. For now. (91-93 points).

  • Quite reductive upon opening, not giving of much except minerals, faint unripe apples and maybe some lemongrass. Became a little richer and rounder with time, but not much.

Great amounts of dry extract with an almost saline feel. Acidity was not as high as I expected, but there was a strong almost bitter mineral note.

Hard to rate at such an early point. 91 points now, but with potential for much more. I luckily have another 6 bottles, as this will be great with some more years horizontal.
