As always, very good, but I struggle to agree with all the French reviewers hailing this as some of the best Rieslings from Alsace. Classic color, a bit evolved, light straw. Fine nose of yellow apples, some citrus, and a hint of petroleum and chalk. Medium to full bodied, lots of yellow apples on the mid palate, fine acidity, fresh aftertaste and good length. All in all a very good wine, but it is hard to find it fascinating. After the tasting it was drunk with a classic Norwegian course "fårikål" (cabbage and lamb cooked over several hours), and it really complemented the rustic food in a perfect way.

I like this more than the bottle last year. From the very first sip this wine is bright with tropical flavors, zesty, and does not tire your palate through the last sip. Fine with and without food. Very nice minerality in the finish. I wish I picked up more bottles.

Lively and racy. Petroleum and rubbery nose giving way white flower, jasmines and eleven flower. A medium weighted palate with hints orchard fruit, kiwi fruit, touches of dried mango, some herbal element, wet pebbles. Very nice

I quite enjoyed this and wanted to try this young after having a 1999 in February. Obviously a different experience but agree with most of the other tasting notes. It was very food friendly pairing well with the sushi rolls and appetizers.

The nose just dances right out of the glass, sprinkling apple, elderflower, apple blossom, green pear, white peach, candied lemon, grapefruit, chalk, flint, kerosine, baked apple, honey, and hazelnuts notes across the tasting room. You get all of this in the mouth, staying for a long, lingering finish. The fruit concentration more than meets the high acidity, setting up the components for further ageing.
It really is lovely. One to savour.
