Union Des Grands Crus Bordeaux (New York City, NY, USA): Varied fruit with apricot most noticeable among them. Smelled less sweet than it turned out on the palate for me, (not sure if this had much aeration). Round, again for longevity I'd like a touch more acid. Nonetheless quite nice.

Deep straw with golden hues. Lovely nose of ripe stone fruit, tropical scents, a few honey notes, tangerine, gentle botrytis notes. Medium bodied, great balance offered by the abundant acidity, perhaps still lacking in layering but it’s very young and feels so. It will be much more complex with some ageing but drinks so well now. 95-96

The perfume with its array of ripe and overripe tropical fruits, yellow plums, white peach and candied orange rind with an array of spices hits the spot. The palate, with all of its layers of zesty, sweet, honey-coated, and yellow fruits is even better. The jolt of racy acidity, giving the white peach, yellow tropical fruit and candied orange rind in the endnote seals the deal! Drink from 2023-2055.

A singular green herb nose, distinct from the other 2020 Sauternes on show at the UGC. Vaguely tropical, unfolding nicely on the palate. 100% Semillon.

94-95 vvPunkte Mittleres Goldgelb. Grilled orange rind, lemon curd, overripe pineapple and spearmint, all coated with honey, create the perfume. The wine is sweet, lush and honeyed, but with a jolt of racy acidity, giving the white peach, yellow tropical fruit and candied orange rind length and vibrancy in the finish. 93-95

Feels more elegant and restrained than most, notes of barley sugar, honey and orange. Great intensity, with flavours of marmalade, some pleasing bitter elements, and sweet ginger. Concentrated pocket, good energy and some spice.

Lovely balanced wine with mild acidity and a medium mouthfeel. Notes of flowers and grass on the nose. Creamy light stonefruit on the palate.
Paired with cheeseboard and it did especially well with the sharper alpine cheese we had, as well as the softer cheeses.
