Gold in color. 14.2% ABV. Super aromatics of flowers, minerals and lemon mousse. Strong acidity. Rich and viscous on the palate. Flavors of lemon oil, green apple, key lime pie, toast and pear. The finish is exceptional. The best single vineyard Chardonnay from Rochioli and on a short list with the likes of Marcassin and Kongsgaard when I could consider the best Chardonnay from California. Drink over the next 1-3 years.

Yellow color. Heavy oak with some banana notes and a mineral earthy streak. The oak is obtrusive to me. The palate is medium weight showing some complexity and a little heat. Drink up.

Golden yellow, maybe a little darker than last time I had this wine. Smells of fall fruits (apple, pear) and an earthiness (wet stone and dirt) that's different from what I've encountered in a Chard. Tastes similar to the nose with a very long finish. I sense that this wine would have been much better a year ago, it was still very good but I know it had been better. I've got to drink my collection faster.

I have to admit, this was really quite good. Big, intense and smoky (the latter being toasted oak, I'm sure, but well executed), with a healthy balance of tart acidity to balance unmistakeably new-worldly ripe fruit. Quite hot at the finish, which detracts a bit from what otherwise is a remarkably balanced wine given its size.

good but missing that additional level of acidity to give the wine real lift and life to take it to the next level. nonetheless solid

Wonderful California style Chardonnay. Oak and loads of fruit with a year or two of life left.

Very oaky and nowhere near the nose I am used to with Rochioli. Still pleasant and definitely not bad but the regular chard is drinking better

Tarty with a nice mix of apple, pear, and honeysuckle that complimented The Godfather's truffled pate and buffalo mozzarella hors d'ouvres .
