Family Christmas Morning on the Sunshine Coast. This opened with a vigorous bead and a rich red robe of colour. The nose shows wild strawberry, white cherries, red apples, lemon zest, Christmas spice and rose tinged nougat. The palate is fruit forward with a frothy minerality and zest that balances things very nicely. This is a joyous wine perfect for Christmas morning !

Harmonious blend of 67% PN and 33% Chard from estate vineyards. It's bursting with tart red berry fruit, fresh baked sourdough, dried pear, lime zest, dried roses and spice character complicated with savory notes and a very appealing minerality with a long finish

Pale pink color. Drank a glass on Oberg with a nearly completely fogged in view. Dominated by the chalk and minerality, very leesy, indistinct red fruits and apple notes.

The wine was nice, fresh, a bit austere with hints of strawberry and cranberry, with stern acidity in a bit of a drying short finish. I understand the qualitative Vineyard improvements that have been going on chez Roederer, but it seems to me like the balance has tipped a little too far in the direction of extra brut, grower styled wines, and this is true for the 14 Cristal as well. I will spend my coin seeking out older renditions.

This was firm and came across as very dry and steely with a good structure. It was challenged by the multiple aromatics and tastes of the exciting dishes of *Sein in Karlsruhe but none the worse for that. Great aperitif wine.

Consistent with my note of 12/20 here, but showing a bit more wild yeast and delightful cranberry, almond oil, rose water and cherry pit puckering deliciousness. Worked very well w oysters rockefeller tonight. An easy 10 years of great drinking ahead, and terrific QPR.

From half. Delicious rose champagne of citrusy berries and rich brioche and toasties. Acid fairly harmonized, and still young and firm of structure. Delicious, again - that's my main reaction. Yum.

The nose on this wine is quite serious, with minerality and hints of strawberry fruit. On the palate you have good weight and intensity but again rather firm, astringent acids and coming off as a bit grumpy and austere. I’m eager to taste it again and see if the impression holds. Seems to be lacking some dosage for balance.

Light pink color. Drank 2 glasses from 375ml. This was a nice little boat wine that certainly didn't get the attention it deserved, but was good nonetheless. Strawberry and cherry fruits, chalk, lots of stony minerality with a vein of delicate chalk, fairly yeasty. Probably conservative, 92(+)pts.

Similar notes to my last tasting. Quite overt fruit for a Roederer, even a rosé, but perhaps not quite as intense this time. Excellent as an aperitif right now but this will likely shut down hard within the next year and demand at least another 5 in the cellar. Either drink immediately or hold.

Salmon to pale amber, dough, and touches of yeast on the nose, bright citrus, cherry and berry fruit on the attack with layered fermented berry fruit, soft tannins and medium plus acidity, finishes with delicate berry fruit, touches of orange rind, minerality, and sweetness with lingering yeasty flavors, from a 375ml

From 75cl. Expressive raspberry/strawberry-led red-fruited scent; perfectly balanced entry—supple and juicy but without a gram too much sweetness or fat; expansive mid-palate showing some wild spicy notes (if such a thing as "wild apricot" existed, well it would be in there); long, mouth-pickling finish. This is outstanding right now, and although I can't see it improving, there's no hurry. After three very expensive and disappointing red Burgundies from highly rated producers yesterday, what a relief to open a bottle of Pinot-led wine with no flaws, and which exceeded my expectations! 92P

This should come with a warning on the bottle. It’s so moreish, it will be gone in an instant. Imagine a fine Blanc de Blancs infused with the freshest wild strawberries. Beautiful now, but will develop nicely. Why wait, it’s so good now.

This is good. Like others have mentioned, very pale salmon color. Red fruit, a hint of minerality and a slight mention of some herbaceousness (only slightly) It’s more tart than some of the other roses I’ve had lately. Decent autolytic notes on the nose and palate. Refreshing and enjoyable.

A very pale salmon, this has a nose of red apple, strawberry, mint, crushed stone, and lees. The palate is fresh and delicate, but quite tasty. This is drinking well as an aperitif or would pair well with lighter dishes. Doesn't seem to need any cellar time to be enjoyed.

Scrummy stuff already. Two bottles about a week apart were obviously young but still surprisingly accessible - crunchy red fruit carried by a firm yet balanced acidity. Gets even better once some of the fizz has burned off (would know fact make a sensational still rosé). Not the most complex wine right now, and I suspect this will shut down eventually for a while. But for now very tasty and like much vintage Roederer a solid QPR for champagne.

The palate: Very crisp to begin with. Fruity, spice and buttery. A little same notes from the nose. It's dry, but the fruit seems a little sweet.
I'm not much of a Champagne drinker, but this one is great. I've tried multiple NV champagnes over time, from other producers, but not at this price point. They haven't been as balanced. This 2014 vintage is more powerful with more finess.
Of course ot is still a little too young now, so you might want to wait 2-3 years, but its still great. You really just want more of it as you drink it - Like you cant get a bit enough bottle.
93P for now - maybe wait until 10 years from vintage

(Disgorged in 2019, 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay, dosage 6 gr/l) Nice pale salmon, almost orange, colour with an endless stream of very fine bubbles. Lovely nose of freshly baked bread, strawberries and minerals and opens up in the glass with a delicious creaminess. Youthful acidity and minerality on the palate with a creamy mid and a lengthy finish showing a lovely raspberries intensity. This is already very accessible, but should reward some more cellar time for sure.. (Best 2021-2034)

Ornoed’s note below captures it very well. To that we will add, tho: We’d have appreciated just a touch of yeastiness, providing some roundness to balance out the bracing citric acidity. Still, very enjoyable, spread out over nights — and frankly, we liked it best on the third and fourth.
Very light pink/ginger color. Generous but very fine mousse . Lovely and simple nose of potato bread toast, spiced crab apple, and cranberry sauce. Wonderful consistent acidity from start to finish, with notes of tiny wild strawberries, red grapefruit, pink bubblegum dust, and lemon thyme. Beautiful finish of red raspberry and candied ginger. Not sweet and not yeasty; hurray!!! Paired very well with stuffed grape leaves, smothered in brandy rehydrated dried cranberries and toasted pine nuts. 375 ml, and excellent QPR.

Charity wine pairings to benefit Whatcom Hospice House. (Samish Hill, Bellingham, WA): Sabered for the entertainment value. Light salmon colored. Strawberries, peaches come through. The sense of austerity may have been real, or perhaps it was a result of this bottle being sandwiched between the bold E-O VdV and ‘06 Taittinger Comtes.
