Super simple, with nothing distinct. Smooth and slightly buttery, with some faded fruit and balanced oak. It was perfectly simple, but simple nonetheless.

The 2017 Sixto Uncovered is an excellent example of a very good west coast Chardonnay. It has some Oak, but it is well balanced with the minerality and fruit and alcohol. Very enjoyable and still has another year or two at least in the cellar.

Bought several bottles from WineLibrary text message special. Typical west coast chardonnay. A lot of flavor, oak, medium-full body. Maybe it's getting late to be drinking 2017. I would take Landmark over this for finesse, or Hess for lower cost.

Nice nose of lemon pie, pears. Nice mouthfeel/density as its density covers the pallate. Flavours of citrus and pears. Acidity kiks in a little later. High alcohol, so let it warm a bit up. Long lasting aftertaste. Quite nice

A nose of citrus and some spice, medium golden in color. A medium to full bodied white, with pineapple, citrus, vanilla and spice on finish, an easy drinker. www.winelx.com

Not a lot going on here. Austere, one dimensional and thin. The only interesting element of this wine, in my opinion, is a reasonably good finish that echoes a slight hint of fruit and alcohol. At this price, $35, there are many, many better choices.

Light golden yellow in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, lemons/limes & grapefruit with overtones of minerals & some floral notes, wet stones, hazelnuts & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth texture, ripe fruit flavors of green apples, lemons/limes & grapefruit with minerals & a slight hint of oak. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but has the ripe fruit & structure to continue developing with additional aging.

Color: rich gold. Darker than I would generally expect for a Chardonnay of this age. Initially this was quite tight, acidic, and overtly alcoholic. It benefited from some air, and after an hour or so had calmed down to something quite creamy-leesy but citric-fresh on the nose, albeit a little sharp. It smells like fresh wood, too. Not oak, just like smelling a tree - a little mossy green and quite woodsy. On the palate, this is just a little green, has a nice juicy entry, some good texture on the mid-palate, but even after some time open it is screamingly alcoholic on the finish. The alcohol on this wine isn't that high for a U.S. Chardonnay - 14% - but it is not at all well integrated. Some nice juicy acidity toward the back, but it's not enough. There are some nice ingredients here but the overall impression is disappointing. My spouse didn't finish her glass. 14%, $35.

Lovely chard. Like and butter on the nose. Charred butter and bitter lime on the palate.

Not quite Burgundian but without the overly butter and oak. Like that this is “uncovered”.

Easy drinking. Paired well with shrimp scampi and then sea bass over two days.
As others have said, vanilla, mineral driven, and not overly oaked.
