Lovely and complex nose with deep, rich fruit, apricots, orange, white pepper, tangerine, and white flowers. Good acidity balancing the richness on the palate with more lemon notes, orange ring, apricots, minerals, and honey. It has a somewhat glycerine mouthfeel and long finish. Very powerful Grüner Veltliner that still feels balanced despite the richness. It will only get better from here, I'm sure. 95++

Funny, not nearly as expressive as i thought it would be. On the other hand, maybe everything is expressing itself at 10. So its hard to tell the 11s from the 9s. Very funny. Wound up and tight right now but didn't I just have this?

Masterclass with Stephan Reinhardt: 2019 Grüner Veltliner (The Dolder Grand, Zurich): Glass: Schölzle Universal Clear, medium golden color. Deep, bold and intense nose. You can almost feel the extract of this wine through the nose. On the palate very hedonistic. Lots of ripe apricot and other ripe fruit, botrytis, creamy texture. Lots of extract, very good balance, never hot. Very long finish. Give it at least a decade, better two to fully emerge. Great potential! 93+++
Medium golden colored. Nice quite restrained nose with yellow flowers and tropical fruits - the nose opened up a bit after one hour in the decanter. On the palate powerful notes of honeydew melon, soft pear and mineral notes and fresh green herbs. Medium bodied with a medium acidity. Good concentration but it feels too tight in the moment. It wants to open up and show its beauty but it simply can’t in the moment. The finish is medium long and leaves a nice fruity touch. (IG)

Very young but still enjoyable (which is not true for many riesling from 2019 at present time). Nice on the nose. Will improve a lot with time and so will my rating.

Die Forelle 2022: Ice skating at the Weissensee; 1/22/2022-1/29/2022 (Techendorf, Austria): A truly amazing GV (especially in this youthful stage); deep without being heavy, full while being elegant. Pear, fresh yellow apple, melon, mango and a finish that goes on for minutes!
Just imagine how this will be in 10-20 years time!
