2018 Anaperenna by Ben Glazer. Barossa Valley. Alc 14.5% Shiraz 82%. Cab Sauvignon 18% Deep purple Nose in unmistakably Aussie Palate: High toned rich blueberries and blackberries with bramble and currant jam. Clearly some oak notes with spice and vanilla. Some spearmint on the finish. Stiil pretty tight. Really good

Modern, zu sehr everybodys darling. Vermutlich um 2-3 gr. RZ, über 3-4 Tage getrunken. Jugendlich. Objektiv sicher sehr konzentriert. Subjektiv frage ich mich, ob mehr Finesse nicht eher mein Fall ist... 90-93 Punkte... Bis 2030+

Dense color, blue Fruit driven (blackberries, black currant. Jam yes but also fresh berries)good acidity on the nose. The taste was fruit driven and with good structure. The acidity and tannins are working together to balancd the wine. It’s still a fruit driven wine. Medium long to long finish.

An amazing, but rather young, sprawling expression of Syrah there, daonandaa. The richness of the whole shebang is breathtaking and it is already (!) showing some mature moves.
For those of you stashed, just keep. There's absolutely no reason to be in any kind of rush for plopping these buggers.
This is a wine with a lot of acidity and those of you who don't like Italian wines, please suggest a trade with me before you plop ;-)
Lovely! If I had more, I’d wait for a minimum of 7 years to plop the next btl.

We loved this wine when we drank our first bottle a few months ago. Tonight we had the second, and it was just as amazing. First impressions are black. Black tar, black licorice and black berries. Then the tobacco kicks in. Specifically Turkish tobacco with notes of spice. The tannins are silky. The acid and sweetness are in excellent balance. Finish is medium long and luscious (wish it went on for ever). What is most interesting is my wife and I prefer subtle Old World wines. What is there about this bold Cab-Shiraz blend that seduces us? I cannot say - but I am glad that we have more in our cellar.

Great blend of Sryah and Cab (18%) with great automatic notes on the nose, medium bodied, fruit forward with excellent acidty to balance it out. On mid-palaet you fry notes of berries, grapefruit, and finishes with a long finish. Goes well with charcuterie platter, sea food, and pasta.

80/20 Shiraz/Cab blend (for the most part). A nice roasted black fruit character with blackberry and black cherry influence and some stiffer oak on the finish. Very youthful wine, and moreso on the younger side here without a doubt. Even though it has a roasted black fruit character, the sweeter side of things was here. Campfire roasted nuts, toffee, and black truffle and tar and tobacco notes were all here. This is a delicious wine, although I got to thinking during the experience how just FIVE YEARS of aging would really do this one a huge bit of good. CT actually almost has this one right. Drink 2025-2035

Dark ruby in the glass. Brooding richness on the nose, just Ben Glaetzer style straight out. Any vintage of this wine is marked by the exact same aroma profile - stewed black fruit, dark cherry, raspberries and tons of oak sweetness. Full-bodied, punchy & extracted with moderate acidity. Crazy rich, but approachable and not shy to show its true colors. Served by the glass in Burnt Ends.

When I first opened this 2018 up, it was very tight and unyielding, which made me fear I had committed infanticide. Fortunately, it slowly began to unwind, and by days 2 & 3, the fruit and the balance began to emerge. By day 3, this Shiraz blend was delicious, with a very appealing and nuanced finish, significantly more likeable than the 2018 Bin 389 I had tried. I’m definitely a fan of this one!

Excellent full body, with berries forward and spice. Medium acid and tannin's. After 3 hrs decant had nice smooth finish. So give this another 3-5 years for full enjoyment.

Deep purple red color Nose : black current and cheery with lots of sweet spice and vanilia flavour Palate : sweet spice, cherry and pepper. Medium full body and medium strong tannin. Abit too short for the finish. Is that its still close? Potential to age for another 10 to 15 years.

Smooth!

Colour is dark ruby with a slight purple rim. Full aromas of black fruit/blackberry jam & sweet spice. Full bodied flavour of black fruit/blackberry, pepper/spice & background well integrated oak. There is medium to high acidity with medium to high approachable tannins. Finish is long with black fruit transitioning to pepper to oak & a hint of chocolate. ABV is 14.5% & this wine although young, is well balanced.

Very approachable now. A bit one-dimensional with fruit forwardness and oak. Silky smooth but lacks that lingering pleasant after taste.
