Developing garnet color. Nose of cigar box, ash, baked blackberry, green butter bean, some menthol and camphor. Although it doesn't come across as oaky, it seems more wood driven on the palate and seems somewhat less supple than previously. A bit more of a red fruit feel in the mouth. Better with food.

Clear, medium plus purple with a hint of garnet on the edge. The nose is clean and of medium plus intensity. It reveals black fruit (blackberry and black currant), and some evidence of maturiity (baked fruits, tobacco). The nose is developing. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, alcohol and body. The tannins, flavor intensity and length are medium plus. The palate is consistent with the nose, except that herbal (mint) and pungent spice (liquorice) components predominate. Overall this is a very good wine which drinks well above its price point. Drink now, but has potential for ageing further.

Purple with a hint of red on the edge. Beautiful, clean, expressive nose. Blackberry, plum, tobacco, with a hint of floral. The nose is best when the wine is cool, the aromas dissipate rather quickly thereafter. The palate is consistent with the nose. Medium plus acidity; medium bodied; a little thin on the finish. Better when served on the cooler side (60 deg), and with food. A very nice wine for the money. Drink now.

An honest cru-bourgeois claret. Cigar box, licorice, and a hint of wild cherry on the palatte. No over-extraction; no over-oaking--so it's an everyday pleasure, with its tang of bordelaise terroir. But don't expect grand cru.

Tight and tannic, maybe a few more years and this will open up more. There is some dark fruit on the nose with a bit of earthiness. Similar flavors on the palate with gripping tannins on the back end....This really opens up after 5 or so hours into intense red and black fruit. ($19)

Had at a French Wine Society class. I didn't really believe the price until the host shop sold it to me for under $15. Very nice Bdx Sup, great QPR. Buying.

cassis with soft earth in the nose. there is a very nice floral nuance to the nose and the palate. a subtle barrel express on the palate. still showing some rather youthful tannin and that's alright by me.

Nice depth of flavour for the price. This has been my house wine for the last while - I'm sorry to not to have more.

It is a Led Zepplin influenced label. Grapey, hints of green, and really quite nice at $19. Touches of cinnamon and barrel.
