Lots of sweet oak and rich fruit with some immediate appeal, there is also some spice light herbal notes and good balancing acidity. Enough going on to keep it interesting, but this mainly about the robust fruit and wood spice.

Inky colour. Red plums on the nose. Vanilla. All Spice. Smoke. Rich flavour with Black pepper. Short finish. Medium tannins attacking my gums. Anise seeds?

Pas mauvais mais définitivement trop de tannins et acidité en mi- bouche, finale sur le fruit noir typique du Sirah, qui demeure agréable pour le prix.

WS “ This red marries the ripe fruit and toasty oak of the international style with a savory, rustic character. ..." I agree, plus a bit of prune or raisin but not sweet. Also needed some time to burn off a slight alcohol character. Nice finish. Great price.

Dark blackish garnet colored, full bodied, brambly concentrated blackberry and dark cherries, notes of creosote and tar with spice, smoke and savory soy laced black olive and bitter dark-chocolate with wisps of black pepper notes on a lingering tangy acidic finish. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2021/11/borsao-syrah-campo-de-borja-zarihs.html

Dark violet color, scent of current, blackberries and olives. First onset of whiskeylike taste.. smoke oak sweetness dry tannin.. then bring on the fruit... current, blueberries and blackberries, jammy plum. Leaves a semi-dry dry finish of jam, slight salty. Be nice with cheeses and appetizers.

Good dark fruit flavors balanced against earthy black olive and Tamari sauce notes. Time in the glass brings out fresh cherry. Integrated tannins and a medium long finish. This is a stout wine with a definite presence.

Spanish Syrah with a dark purple hue and a weighty presence in the glass and on the palate. Aromas of kalamata olive and meaty plum with savory notes of blackberry compote, black currants, smoke, iron and wild herbs. Softer tannins on the finish. Nice complexity here, will look to purchase again.

Too jammy. Strong alcohol hides the fruitiness of its own. This is not quite sweet wine but the little sweetness in it bothers me. Texture is soft and the overall balance is good, but it’s just not my thing. Maybe there’s people out there who enjoys this type of wine very much.

20 - 30 minutes to open. Prior, initial pour had a sharp alcohol finish. Great nose and full flavored. Very enjoyable. Expect this to get better with age.

Drank this at a wine mate's place for dinner. Theme of the evening: wines that go well with Peranakan food.
One of the wine-makers is Chris Ringland, the famed Shiraz producer from Australia. Dark red in colour with a purple rim. On the nose the wine presents ripe blackberries, and a touch of smoky oak aroma. Some cream and vanilla in the finish and aftertaste. Very well structured with a touch of class.

Took about 30 minutes to open up, but when it did - Wow! Lovely and complex, both on the nose and palate. Rich and velvety - very modern in style - but not overdone. Bursting with ripe, opulent plum, boysenberry and dark currant fruit. Has just enough acidity to keep it from coming across as flabby. The mouth-coating finish is incredibly long and features lingering notes of licorice, mineral and roasted meat. Complex, satisfying and delicious. Drinks like a good Cote-Rotie at around 1/3 the price. The Spaniards have done it again! Amazing QPR at $18.99 a bottle. 50+5+12+18+7=92

Nose implies a wine with more age, with mushroom, wet earth and black olives. Blackberry, dried herbs and wet branches on the palate with a quite harsh alcohol feeling to the end disturbing the balance on the tail a bit. Drinks well now and would probably age with dignity for a few years. Taken into account that this is a spanish shiraz, one must say that it is stunning. Perfect with a heavy seasoned grilled steak

Nice but not great. Very nice clear bright ruby color. Full body, low tanines and low+ acidity. Aromatic, mainly fruits and spices, same on the palate, smoke, cinnamon, licorice, pepper, then blackberries, plum, strawberries, raspberries and underneath some leather, mushrooms, raisin, jam. A little too much jam for me. Good VFM, despite the high price in Israel.
