First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Served blind. Very champagne on the nose; lemon, bread yeast, biscuit, a little honey implies a touch of age. that age note is on the palate, a little warmth on the back of the throat, coarse mousse, citric tang, slight texture, acid is a bit pointy. The alcohol warmth combined with the age characteristics made me lean more towards new world but I plumped for NV Champagne. Damnation.
