Tasted along side the “ordinary” Vollrads Riesling (see notes for that). They’re quite similar but on the palate this one is more pleasant. More fuller body so feels more in balance. In terms of aromas this one definitely has more Stone fruit (peach) and more ripe fruits. Outstanding → 94

Simple. Citrus (Lemon), Tree (apple), floral. Light intensity. Structurally uninteresting, high acidity, very short finish almost non existent. Borderline balanced.. Just too young I think. → 79

I love this. Far more complexity than the price would usually justify but it's that good. Apple and citrus on the nose with a real lime zest on the palate. I actually get a hint of spice (ginger?) on the tail end which ties beautifully with the apple. The search is over, this is my riesling.

Pale straw in colour. Zesty citrus on the nose and the palate to follow with passionfruit and floral notes. Zingy acid and good length and a somewhat toasty finish.

A classic Watervale Riesling with good flavour intensity in its youth. Should develop very well.

Lime, apple, bath salts. Acidity on the right side of piercing, and ample length.

Very pear and some apple, as usual. Not the citrus, petro or mineral but nevertheless does the alternative style reasonably well

Lemon and lime on the nose and on the palate, maybe even some melon. Its a good wine. I am struggling to say more than that.
