Prior bottle was only 8 months ago, but the wine did show a bit better tonight. White peach, floral and that smokey, saline quality on the nose - felt a bit cleaner and more whitefruit based than prior bottle. Between light and medium bodied with white apple and white peach the dominant fruit notes. Very nice citrus notes on the backside. The issue remains the acidity. There isn't enough of it for it to feel vibrant, but it does act as something of a blanket, concealing some of the mid-body fruit as well as the interplay between mid-body and citrus behind. Under screwcap, it's not surprising that even a Kabinett takes bit more time to develop than I have given it. As it warms, picks up more complexity and depth and seems to come into better balance with the acidity. All this tells me that some patience will be rewarded and I'll try to show some myself and hold off on my last bottle until at least late Fall 2024.

Chose to open this because it had screw cap, and was concerned still too early for this vintage. Was decent but average. Acidity was low to medium and not biting. More citrus but low. Slightly sweet. Did everything ok, just nothing to distinguish itself. Had high hoped for this 2019 but was just alright.

Deeper yellow than expected. Great nose of petrol, almonds, white flowers. Quite sweet, but good fruit and acidity. Drinks well now, but clearly will go for many years.

Showing some restraint on the nose that opened up to salty citrus notes and just a faint hint of petrol. Palate seemed more open with inviting apple and unripe peach notes. Decidedly off-dry. Very drinkable and enjoyable if not too complex.

Not much of the classic petrol on the nose, but excellent with lots of green apples and sea breeze. Palate is also great with a perfect balance of sweet and refreshing fruit. Would add some to cellar.

White and yellow peach, floral and saline notes on the nose. Between light and medium bodied (9.5% ABV) with white peach upfront with saline and acidity accents. Good depth through the middle with a touch more richness than I expected to go along with the yellow peach and tangerine notes. Good acidity (but not quite electric) on the backside provides contrast along with tart citrus qualities through the finish. Should continue to open up over the next few years with a number of additional years beyond at a high level.

Pale gold, with medium intensity, developing aromas of honeysuckle, apricot, tangerine, honey, pineapple. This is a sweet wine with high acidity and medium alcohol and body. The palate matches the aroma’s with a medium plus finish. This is a good wine and should be drunk now and over the next 15 years.

Salty with intense fruit with medium acidity. A bit sweeter than I like to see in a Kabinett but nice balance never-the-less with a lime finish. medium finish.

Typical resiling notes. Bright. Fruity. Medium body. some effervescence, too sweet for a kabinett, seen this before, just dont understand how a kab can be sweet. 60 grams of residual sugar. This was more like a Spatlese to me. tupelo finish. Nice accompaniment with spicy Asian food.

Transparent straw. Aromas of pear juice and some grassy notes. Medium body, medium-to-medium-plus acid. Sweet with a thick mouthfeel that was almost syrupy at times. Flavors of kiwi juice and pear. When it warmed a bit became more like canned fruit cocktail, but otherwise delicious.

This wine is pale straw in hue. Its aromas include green apple, lemon, and pear. On the palate, it has great zippy acidity, medium body, light alcohol, and a touch of honey on the finish. Excellent!

Mein gott this wine is drinking really well right now. Green tea and jasmine and green apple on the nose. Tart apple juice and crisp pear on the palate. Acidity and sugar are in perfect harmony. Way way too easy to drink right now. This is only going to get better over time and I pray I have the strength to hold off drinking them all.

Nose: mostly floral with some stoney minerality and herbs. Palate: leads off with honeysuckle nectar and white flowers. The fruit is the usual mosel riesling mix of apples and pears that veer toward peach and stone fruits on the quite lengthy finish.
This wine follows the playbook that many of these infant 2019 German rieslings are following. Deliciousness from start to finish. The mid palate are plump with flavor. The fruit is impressive with enough florally that makes them both tasty and elegant. There is the proper amount of balancing acidity. It's hard to find a complaint

Drank over the course of a number of days. Very pleasant with some notes of honey and stone fruits. Relatively low acid. Not very complex, but still early. Some of the competition from Donnhoff and others represents slightly better value.

A beautiful, not too sweet, Riesling that is great as a before dinner or after dinner wine. Would definitely purchase this producer again.
