Easy to drink, but not terribly interesting. Smooth tannins, high acid, the fruit is a bit sweet, but not overpowering. Nice enough, but nothing is complex. Sarah points out, if this bottle cost $7, you'd be super-stoked.

Opened at the end of a night of tasting. A bit tight with dark fruits and oak. Revisited two days later to find plums, dark and red berries, and sweet oak on the nose. Plenty of acidity and tannin to hold up to barbecued ribs.

The wine is mildly dissappointing - I associate this with Caymus which is why I bought it, but I have since learned that Caymus sold the label. The wine is straightforward plummy but without much to distinguish it. Not much nose and not much tannin and low acidity makes for an uninteresting wine. Not any better on day # 2. Quaffable, but not reason to repeat the experience. Plenty of better $10 wines out there.

Definately not a full bodied or robust cab, but a good drink nontheless. Vanilla notes abound yet are more apparent on the palate than the nose. Well integrated light fruit.

I love this wine for an everyday drinking Cabernet. Is it overly oaked, yes! Is the fruit super ripe - sort of. But does it provide hints of what a good California Cabernet is all about - yes! And for the price that can be paid for this at Costco it is a great, all round, crowd pleasing, fruit forward, somewhat overly oaked Cabernet. By the way, it marinated a great rack of lamb and made an excellent sauce.

nose -berry mouth - juicy berry, good acidity, still quite tannic. 87pts -- sat around corked in the fridge for a week and now retasting it before dedicating to cook and I must say I'm surprised. Full bodied, good cassis fruit, not overoaked. Have i just been drinking bad stuff for the past week, or has this improved? Will up the score to 88 and rescue from the stew launching pad.

Tasty wine. Purple-tinged garnet color with nice clarity. Nose reached up to attract the senses, and the mouthfeel had some power behind it. I felt that it was definitely new-world, with very jammy dark fruits and berries. Finish was pleasant. For the price, it's a great value.

Decanted for an hour. After two weeks of forgetting to put down notes I remember that it was medium bodied, easy drinking, and the most pleasing aspect would be the hints of vanilla that were prevelent throughout the nose and palate.

Yeast, vanilla, blackberries and cedar nose. Very closed, mostly tannins with a little vanilla. Unsweetened cocoa is hiding in there somewhere with a little fruit. Short finish, but perhaps worth waiting three years or more.

Nothing exciting on the nose. Average...nothing to write home about, but no bad at all. Rather one dimensional. Blackberries and raspberries. Very light vanilla and oak. Mild tannins. Easy drinking cab.

Good aroma/flavor, even though it was a bit too cold. Nice cab-like finish. Definite structure, but not overly tannic. Ready to drink.

Decanted for an hour. Good tannins, black fruit jelly on the mid-pallette, simple finish. A little weak for a cab, but great with ribeye and potatoes.

Full bodied but no mellowness; harshness that fades a bit and becomes deeper on the back of the tongue; fine pairing for beef stew.
